Collecting materials to forge armor and weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds doesn’t just mean farming monsters over and over again. Those who want the strongest of armor and most powerful of weapons will need to scour the map for materials such as Icium too, and one of the main means of getting these necessary resources is by mining for them.
Fortunately, Icium is not too rare of an item, and you can acquire a lot of it quite quickly once you know exactly which Mining Nodes to target while roaming the map. To help you do just that, here’s where to find Icium in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find Icium in Monster Hunter Wilds
Icium is a drop from Mining Nodes — the blue icons on your map — in Monster Hunter Wilds, and fortunately, you can get your Seikret to ride right up to these so you can quickly get your pickaxe out and mine them for materials.
While we cannot confirm every single location that Icium shows up in, it does appear to be most popular in the Iceshard Cliffs biome, and we were able to consistently find it in the following areas:
- Iceshard Cliffs Area 20
- Iceshard Cliffs Area 18
- Iceshard Cliffs Area 8
Simply ride up to the nodes and press ‘B’ to interact with them. You will be able to mine from a node three times before it is fully depleted, and then there is a short cooldown before you can return to the spot to mine again.
