So, you’ve heard rumours of a mysterious Windfall Shipment hidden somewhere inside one of the Protocol’s hideouts in Atomfall, but you’re not entirely sure where to find it. That’s where we’ve fortunately stepped in, detailing everything you need to know about finding the Windfall Shipment, including the location of the Windfall Keycard needed to open it.
The hunt for this particular shipment is quite long, having you visit a few different locations, but it’s well worth your time, as the Windfall Shipment contains a particularly important tool that will be used for some NPC’s quests. Without further ado, here’s where to find the Windfall Shipment in Atomfall.
Where to find the Windfall Shipment in Atomfall
If you’re looking for the Windfall Shipment in Atomfall, the likelihood is that you’ve discovered a note discussing Protocol’s secrets, one of which is a mysterious crate – in need of a key that Protocol does not have – which is hidden in one of their bunkers.
We’re going to walk you through this quest step by step, starting with the retrieval of June’s Key in Wyndham Village, which will eventually lead you to the Windfall Shipment.
First things first, pay a visit to The Little Tea Room – a burnt out house just north of Grendel’s Head – in Wyndham Village. Upstairs, you will find June’s Key beside a pile of bones.

Next, use June’s Key to open June’s Lockbox in the very back of the Village Hall (also in Wyndham Village), which has been confiscated by the Protocol. Inside the Lockbox, you’ll find the June’s Errands Note, which reveals that she buried some sort of secret cache by the Boathouse in Wyndham Village.
If you then pay a visit to the ruined buildings by the Boathouse with a Metal Detector equipped (you can quickly purchase one from Alf in Grendel’s Head if need be), you can use the device to track down the cache and open it.
Inside the cache, you’ll find June’s Diary and the note about the Protocol’s secrets that I mentioned at the very beginning of this guide. This note directs you to the BARD Safe Room inside of the Protocol Workshop in Skethermoor, and that’s where we’re headed next. Make sure to gear up appropriately as the Workshop is full of Protocol Soldiers.
Inside of the Protocol Workshop, you want to immediately head right and then left into a bathroom. You can squeeze into one of the bathroom stalls, where there’ll be a ledge to climb over. In the following room, you’ll find a corpse who has the Windfall Keycard and the Windfall’s Discovery Dies With Me Note on their body.
This is all we need to continue tracking down the Windfall Shipment, but be sure to explore the Protocol Workshop fully as there are plenty of supplies – including Training Stimulants – to be found here.
The note retrieved from the corpse will reveal where the Windfall Shipment has been taken to, and that’s the heavily-guarded Protocol Field Station in Skethermoor. Once again, prepare to run into plenty of Protocol Soldiers inside and gear up accordingly.
Upon arriving at the Protocol Field Station, the Windfall Shipment isn’t too hard to find. If you head straight ahead and left, the Windfall Crate is behind a green door on the left-hand side of the hall. This room is known as the Storeroom.
You can then use the Windfall Keycard to open up the Windfall Shipment – which takes on the same appearance as a BARD Crate – and inside, you’ll find the Signal Redirector tool.
The Signal Redirector can also be acquired as part of both Captain Sims’ and Dr Garrow’s quests, with the tool also being located inside of Skethermoor Prison. If you wish to seek passage to Skethermoor Prison and complete either quest, take a look at our guide on where to get the Signal Redirector.
Alternatively, if you want to reach Skethermoor Prison in a more stealthy manner, check out where to find the Crane Controls Keycard. The Crane Controls ultimately provide passage to Skethermoor Prison without having to deal with all the Protocol Soldiers and robots that guard the grounds outside of it.
