If you’ve got your sights set on any of the Uth Duna or Balahara-related weapons or armor in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’re not just going to need monster-hunting certificates and their body parts, but their organs, too. These are known as Torrent Sacs, a water-filled monster organ that powers up your gear.
Aside from a couple of quests that you may or may not have already completed, Torrent Sacs aren’t a guaranteed drop from anything. Much like other monster materials, you’ll need to farm for them, and there’s no time to waste! On that note, here’s where to find Torrent Sacs in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find Torrent Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds
Torrent Sacs have a chance of being dropped by High Rank Uth Duna (found in Scarlet Forest) and High Rank Balahara (found in Windward Plains) in Monster Hunter Wilds.
As mentioned, there is only a chance that a Torrent Sac will be rewarded from a successful hunt of either monster. So, you may need to hunt and/or capture the monster multiple times before gathering the items that you need.
Before farming for Torrent Sacs, first take a look at your World Map and look at the Environmental Overview – on the right-hand side of your screen – for the Scarlet Forest and Windward Plains biomes. This will tell you which Large Monsters are available to hunt right now, so you can quickly get going.
If it just so happens that neither Uth Duna or Balahara are not available to fight, you’ve two options. The first is resting at your Tent using Guild Points. This passes the time to whenever you choose, and you have the option to ensure the environment is ‘Plenty’, meaning there’ll be lots of monsters roaming around.
Failing that, or if you’d rather keep a hold of your Guild Points, you can take part in SOS Flare Quests. These allow you to help a fellow Hunter out with their attempts to hunt an Uth Duna or Balahara, and you’ll still get rewards from it – including Torrent Sacs, with some luck.
To do this, open Alma’s Quest Menu and select ‘SOS Flare Quests’ from the bottom of the list. You can then set a search filter for the quest you undertake. Make sure your target is either Uth Duna or Balahara, and that the difficulty is set to High Rank. This is very important as Low Rank Uth Duna and Low Rank Balahara will not drop Torrent Sacs; they instead drop Aqua Sacs.
You can then rinse and repeat this until a High Rank Uth Duna or High Rank Balahara is available in your world, or until you have a sufficient amount of Torrent Sacs.
