When it comes to forging weapons and armor in Monster Hunter Wilds, which is something you’ll no doubt spend a lot of time doing or working towards, you’re going to need plenty of materials. One of these, mainly needed for Rompopolo gear – as well as Rathian and Gypceros armor sets – is Toxin Sacs.
Toxin Sacs are the organs of the monster who’s dropped them, often packed with dangerous powder or in this case, toxins, that ultimately power the impressive armor and weapons you’ll eventually be using. To help you find plenty of the stuff, here’s where to find Toxin Sacs in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find Toxin Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds
Toxin Sacs have a chance of being dropped by two High Rank Large Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds. Gypceros – who can be found in Windward Plains, Oilwell Basin, Iceshard Cliffs, Ruins of Wyveria – and Rompopolo, who is found in Oilwell Basin.
As mentioned, it is not guaranteed that either monster will drop a Toxin Sac, so you may have to engage in multiple hunts or captures before getting the item.
To begin hunting for Toxin Sacs, I recommend opening up your World Map and checking the Environmental Overview – on the right-hand side of your screen – of each region Rompopolo and Gypceros frequent. This will tell you whether or not the monster is available to fight right now.
If either monster isn’t available, you can try resting at your Tent using Guild Points and seeing if the monsters then spawn. Failing that, or if you’d rather not spend your Guild Points, you can try help other Hunters with their High Rank Gypceros or Rompopolo hunts by taking part in SOS Flare Quests.
Open up Alma’s Quest Menu and select ‘SOS Flare Quests’ from the bottom of the list. You will then be able to set a search filter and look for available quests to join. Make sure the difficulty is High Rank, as Low Rank Gypceros do not exist, and Low Rank Rompopolo will not drop Toxin Sacs. They instead drop Poison Sacs.
After a few hunts, you should have some Toxin Sacs to go about forging weapons and armor with.
