Where Winds Meet World Boss locations and rewards

On your journey from fledgling martial artist to Wuxia master, there will be almost no sterner test of your growing might than World Bosses in Where Winds Meet. Here’s where to find all of the World Bosses we’ve seen throughout Qinghe and beyond so far, as well as the rewards you get for defeating them!

World bosses in Where Winds Meet are the toughest of the tough, with a roster of mysteriously powerful shadow warriors, Chinese lions and literal walking deities waiting to teach you a harsh lesson.

While Deflection Assist will make these fights much easier, it still pays to master the difference between regular attacks, red parryable attacks and golden unblockable and unparryable attacks, as fights against World Bosses are the situation where they come up most and matter the most.

Like in other open-world, free-to-play gacha-style games, World Bosses are an energy-limited resource who you can only fight a certain amount of times before your energy resets – so plan out who you’re tackling based on which type of region XP you need.

Where Winds Meet World Boss rewards

There are lots of different reasons to take on World Bosses, aside from the fun aspect that they’re just fun, challenging fights.

Firstly, they’re a good source of Medicinal Tales, which are used to upgrade your healing potions at Dr Yuan’s clinic by handing them over to his assistant, Yao Yaoyao.

Next, you can also gather Exploration XP for your chosen region by fighting World Bosses. This is important for many reasons, but chiefly because it’s how you eventually get the faction keepsakes – such as the Afterglow Pendant – to be able to use Lightness flight skills across the world.

World Bosses also dish out their own unique Internal Art literature, as well as normal character XP, Zhou Coins currency and Echo Jade.
