Putting together your ZZZ Alice build takes a bit of planning to help make sure this Spook Shack member shines in battle. Alice has some high stat needs, but you don’t have to roll for her signature W-Engine to meet them, nor does she need a premium team to sweep the field.
Below, we outline the best ZZZ Alice build, including Alice’s W-Engine and Drive Disc choices, and list some of Alice’s best teammates.
ZZZ Alice build
ZZZ Alice W-Engine
The thing to look for with Alice’s best W-Engines is secondary stat, since you need all the help you can get meeting her ideal thresholds for three different categories. Her signature, Practiced Perfection, is unsurprisingly the best choice. Its secondary stat increases attack by 30 percent, and its passive boosts anomaly mastery by 60. After the equipping character inflicts assault, which Alice will do on a regular basis, their physical damage increases by 20 percent for 20 seconds, and the effect stacks twice.
Practiced Perfection makes life easier, but Alice can make good use of others as well. One is Fusion Compiler, Grace’s signature, which helps Alice function as a standard DPS as well. It has PEN ratio as its secondary stat – a good one for Alice, even if it isn’t essential for her kit – and raises attack by 12 percent. When the equipping character uses their EX Special, they gain 25 percent extra anomaly proficiency for eight seconds, and the effect stacks three times.
Jane Doe’s Sharpened Stinger also works for Alice, with its secondary stat bumping anomaly proficiency up by 90 at level 60, though its passive is a little trickier for her. It increases physical damage and anomaly buildup, but only when the equipping character uses a dash attack or perfect dodge, respectively. It’s not ideal unless you really just need the stat boost.
Weeping Gemini, a free W-Engine you can purchase with Dennies at the gadget store, is easier to deal with. Its secondary boosts attack by 25 percent, and it increases anomaly proficiency by 30 up to four times when the character inflicts an anomaly status. That’s an easy buff to get with Alice, and even with just a single copy of the weapon, you’re getting 120 anomaly proficiency without having to do much.
Electro-Lip Gloss, the battle pass’ anomaly engine, boost proficiency by 75 and raises attack by 10 percent when an enemy on-field is afflicted with an anomaly. The equipping character will also deal 15 percent more damage to targets with an anomaly.
ZZZ Alice Drive Discs
Alice pretty much just has one set that meets all her needs: Fanged Metal.
- Two-piece effect: Increases physical damage by 10 percent
- Four-piece effect: When any teammate inflicts the assault status, the equipping character deals 35 percent more damage to that target for 12 seconds.
Use two pieces of Phaethon’s Melody as a supplement to get eight percent more anomaly mastery. If you’re struggling with proficiency instead, use two pieces of Chaos Jazz or Freedom Blues for an extra 30 proficiency.
ZZZ Alice stats
Alice is one of the more demanding anomaly agents to build, since, like Miyabi, she doubles as an on-field DPS. That means she needs attack along with specific amounts of mastery and proficiency to get the most out of her passive abilities. On the bright side, a good W-Engine – and that includes the free options, too – helps knock out proficiency or mastery, so depending on which one you use, you’ll probably just have two stats to focus on.
Ideally, you want something like this:
- Attack: 2,500-3,000
- Anomaly mastery: 180 or higher (but not higher than 200)
- Anomaly proficiency: 300
That’s a high proficiency stat, but Alice’s bonus ability – which activates when a support or another anomaly character are on her team – increases procfiency by 1.6 for every point of mastery Alice has over 140. Targetin 180 or 190 mastery gives you 64-80 proficiency right off the bat, which should help make getting solid Drive Disc rolls a little less onerous.
For Drive Disc stats, you’ll want this:
- Slot 4: Anomaly mastery
- Slot 5: Physical damage or attack percentage
- Slot 6: Anomaly proficiency
Attack and both anomaly stats should be your priority for substats. Don’t worry about crit rate and crit damage, as Alice doesn’t need them.
ZZZ Alice skill priority
Most of Alice’s damage comes from her basic attack, with her chain attack a close second. Alice’s special isn’t all that special, despite having decent multipliers, so you’ll want to avoid spending too many resources on that until you’ve got her basic attack at a good level. Like most recent ZZZ characters, Alice’s dodge and quick assist are fairly standard and have little role in activating her core passive or bonus ability.
What that boils down to is this:
- Basic attack
- Chain attack
- EX Special
- Dodge or quick assist
- Quick assist or dodge
ZZZ Alice teams
Alice is a bit like Miyabi in that she benefits from being on-field most of the time and shines when there’s at least one other anomaly character on her team. Her core passive requires the physical anomaly status to activate, and while Alice is capable of inflicting that herself, it’s even easier to activate the passive if she’s got someone like Piper or Jane Doe around.
Alternatively, the second part of Alice’s core passive activates when Disorder occurs while the enemy is suffering from physical anomaly. For every one second left on the physical anomaly’s timer, Disorder damage increases by 18 percent up to a maximum of 180 percent. Alice can inflict Disorder herself when she uses her enhanced basic attack, but it does require her to build Blade Etiquette with her special and standard basics. It’s a lot easier to trigger if you bring in another element.
- Vivian for ether
- Burnice for fire
- Grace or Yanagi for electric
Finally, make sure to bring along a support character to amplify Alice’s damage. Yuzuha is one of the better ones thanks to how she improves anomaly damage, but Astra Yao’s range of buffs and Nicole’s defense shredding make them solid choices as well. Alice needs high attack, too, so you could bring Lucy along instead.

- Piper or Jane Doe
- Nicole, Yuzuha, Lucy, or Astra Yao
Alice Disorder team
- Alice
- Burnice, Grace, or Yanagi
- Nicole, Yuzuha, Lucy, or Astra Yao
Do Alice and Miyabi work well together?
It’s tempting to think so, with Miyabi’s penchant for Disorder seemingly being a good fit for Alice’s core passive. However, both characters require their fair share of on-field time to activate their core passives, Miaybi in particular. You could certainly try to combine the two, though there are more effective pairings for both.
