Arc Raiders’ Buried City map is home to a lot of the game’s most interesting quests, including Communication Hideout, which sends you to the Red Tower to complete various steps so that you can boot up an antenna. If you’re setting out to check this one off your list, we’ve got every step listed out for you.
You won’t need to extract to finish this quest, so come in with a free loadout if you’d rather play it safe. Losing valuable items while questing is never fun, after all. That being said, there’s some potentially good loot near the quest’s Red Tower POI, such as the Santa Maria houses, so there’s more to do in the area if you want to come better prepared.
Either way, when you’re ready to complete Communication Hideout, follow the steps below.
Reach the Red Tower in Old Town
The Red Tower is located in the southern portion of Buried City. It’s a relatively safe area, though raiders do sometimes pass by to check for a Security Breach in a room beneath the tower, so it’s always a good idea to keep your eyes peeled just in case.
Once you arrive, you’ll be prompted to find a missing battery cell.
Find the missing battery cell
The missing battery cell can be found on the ground outside on the east side of the Red Tower, next to a small structure.
Interact with the box here, and it’ll drop a battery cell you can pick up and carry. Now, you’ll need to install it in a nearby generator.

Turn 180 degrees from the box to spot a yellow generator box only a few steps away.
Place the battery cell in the glowing blue slot, then you’ll need to enable the generator’s power.
Enable the power on the generator
To enable the power, simply interact with the prompt on the side of the generator.
With this done, your final task will be to head up near the Red Tower and boot the antenna terminal.

The last step of the request requires you to head inside and up to the landing just below the Red Tower. So, head into the nearby window not too far from the generator.
Head up the stairs inside.
Immediately turn right at the top of the stairs and exit through the destroyed wall. In front of you will be a yellow ladder you can climb to reach the landing beneath the Red Tower.
Once you’re up on the landing, simply wrap around it to find the terminal.
Interact with this terminal to finish the quest. With everything completed, you can now loot more or extract at your convenience. That’s a job well done, raider.
