The start-date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1, which was initially leaked thanks to carbs and cheese, has been confirmed. Season 1 will begin on November 14, Activision has formally announced.

Season 1 adds new multiplayer maps and modes, the next Zombies map, and updates to Warzone. Specifically, November 14 marks the launch of the new Warzone map, Area 99, along with the introduction of Black Ops 6’s weapons and the Omnimovement system to the battle-royale game.

The new mode is Infected, and it’s available right now, just in time for Halloween. A party mode, Infected begins with one player spawning as a zombie with the aim of infecting other players. Each infected player joins the original until no survivors are left or the match timer runs out.

One of the new maps for Season 1 is Warhead, which is a smaller-scale Strike map for 2v2 and 6v6 matches. The map takes place in Arena 99, which is where Nuketown was born.

Area 99, the new Warzone map, lands on November 14, too. Set in the Nevada desert, Area 99 is a Resurgence map for Warzone and allows players to traverse the top-secret government site and battle through places like the mannequin assembly plant, the factory warehouse where the Nuketown houses were built, and other locations that provide some narrative context to Nuketown.

Speaking of Nuketown, this original version of 1950s Nuketown from 2010’s Black Ops, updated with new visuals, comes to Black Ops 6 multiplayer on November 1. While the Nuketown map is a fan-favorite for some, lots of people have never played it.

As for Zombies, the new Season 1 map is described as “terrifying,” but the blog post had new information about it or when during Season 1 it will launch. Black Ops 6 launched with a pair of Zombies maps–Liberty Falls and Terminus.

Activision will share lots more information on the Season 1 maps, modes, weapons, and features coming to multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone in the days ahead, so keep checking back for more.
