Warzone’s in-game timer reveals that Verdansk arrives on April 3 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. Additionally, clicking on the timer will launch the countdown on a larger screen that pans over several iconic map locations from the original Verdansk map. This includes aerial views of Dam, Downtown Verdansk, and the original version of Stadium with the closed-off roof.
Warzone’s OG Verdansk trailer showcased not only the classic Verdansk map, but a popular Modern Warfare 2019 operator as well, as Domino can be seen holding the game’s iconic HDR sniper rifle.
Call of Duty seems to be banking on nostalgia to revive Warzone’s player count. A recent insider report said if the arrival of Verdansk fails to retain existing players and/or bring back lapsed players, there will be no “Warzone 3.”
Those who played the original map can retrieve their OG Warzone stats from Verdansk by interacting with Call of Duty’s recent social media post.
Additionally, April 3 will include Call of Duty’s full Season 3 update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, but Activision hasn’t revealed any further details yet about the big update.
