According to Deadline, Conor McGregor will join the role next year’s Road House remake. The classic 1980s hit hit starred Patrick Swayze. Jake Gyllenhaal will become the lead role in the remake. Joining Gyllenhaal is a smorgasbord of top-and-coming Hollywood stars, such as Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, and Travis Van Winkle, as well as Billy Magnussen and Daniela Melchior.

McGregor, 34, is in the running for the mend, after a fractured leg in a rematch with Dustin Poirier on July 2021. After the fighters split their first two rounds after an earlier rematch, McGregor lost for the second straight time to Poirier. The doctor behind a ring before the fight started in the first round, after McGregor suffered a traumatic injury. But while the Irish professional martial arts fighter has spent the last year “resting,” he’s always had a lot of fun growing his brand and business empire. To turn around 2016, Forbes ranked McGregor as the highest paid athlete in the world.

Conor McGregor gets a lot of flack for his antics, but he does an excellent job of selling himself and becoming the top football star.

The report confirms that McGregor will play original character for Road House and not himself. We are curious to hear what role McGregor plays in the upcoming remake. Gyllenhaal will appear as a former UFC fighter who finds himself working as a shitgler in Florida Keys.

In a few weeks we’ll probably see the sequel to Road House in the Dominican Republic soon after it starts production.
