Atomfall has you wake up in a bunker in the middle of northern England with no memory of who you are or what has happened. This isn’t exactly unusual, considering that’s how most northerner’s weekends end up concluding, but the difference is that the northern England that you’re exploring has been victim to the Windscale disaster.
As a result, you and the characters you meet during your adventure are all confined to this strange quarantine zone, where you must try and find some way of escaping. When that’s all said and done though, does Atomfall have a New Game Plus mode for you to dive into?
Does Atomfall have New Game Plus?
Atomfall does not have New Game Plus. Instead, upon completion of the game, you will be prompted to load one of your existing saves to continue playing. Much like Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Atomfall takes some influence from these games with its ending cards, and nor do those games feature New Game Plus.
That said, while there is no New Game Plus present at the time of writing, Atomfall does look to be adding DLC to the game in future. That’s not to say that NG+ will suddenly be added, but there is form of additional content planned later down the line that will provide “a thrilling game expansion, introducing a new location to explore, gameplay features, enemies, quests, characters, items, weapons, and more”. That’s something to look forward to, I suppose!
It’s also likely that this DLC, which looks to add to Atomfall’s story, will continue the adventure your character has just been on (or is currently on). This means that there may be a canon ending for players to eventually experience, which means New Game Plus being an available feature might not necessarily make sense right now.
