DOOM: The Dark Ages Ancestral Forge wolf statue locations
Dotted around the Ancestral Forge chapter are some wolf statues that can be destroyed, and if you manage to track down and destroy all three of them, you’ll get your hands on a very rare resource: a Wraithstone. These valuable gems can be used to get high-tier upgrades for your favourite weapons, so you definitely don’t want to miss any opportunity of collecting them.
To help you with getting your hands on this Wraithstone, here’s our guide on where to find all wolf statue locations in DOOM: The Dark Ages’ Ancestral Forge chapter.
DOOM: The Dark Ages Ancestral Forge Wolf Statue locations
If you sought out all three of the wolf statues in The Siege Part 1 chapter of DOOM: The Dark Ages, you’ll know exactly how wolf statues work. If not, they’re fortunately not too hard to get a grasp of.
Somewhere across the map, there’ll be three spectral wolf statues, as well as a fourth statue – which holds an item – that is blocked off with barriers. If you find three physical wolf statues across the map and destroy each of them with a Shield Throw, it’ll restore its spectral counterpart.
Restore all three wolf statues, and the blocked off statue will become accessible, allowing you to retrieve whatever loot it is holding. In this case, we’ll be getting our hands on a valuable Wraithstone.
Now, let’s get to business and begin tracking these statues down.
First things first, the three spectral wolf statues (and the statue holding the Wraithstone) are found on your way to the right-most enemy encounter (if you’re at the start of the level and facing the Sentinel Shrine). They’re where the player icon and Wraithstone icon are in the below map screenshot.
Wolf Statue #1
If you make your way to where the Wraithstone and three spectral wolf statues are, our first wolf statue – which we need to destroy – is right here.

Look up at the cliffs surrounding the statues and you’ll quickly see it; Shield Throw at it, and that’s one statue dealt with.
Wolf Statue #2
The second wolf statue is found just before the central-most enemy encounter. The route to reach it from the beginning of the level is drawn on the map below.

The statue is in a corner on your left here. Once again, Shield Throw at it, and that’s our second statue dealt with.

Wolf Statue #3
The third and final wolf statue is found behind the locked gate at the very beginning of the level, which you will need the Secret Key to access.
The location of the Secret Key – which can only be accessed after completing one of the enemy encounters on your map, so you shouldn’t miss it – is marked on the image below.

After grabbing the Secret Key, unlock the gate at the beginning of the level to find our final wolf statue. You can now return to the Wraithstone – which will remain marked on your map – and collect it!
You can now use the gem to upgrade your weapons at a Sentinel Shrine when you’re ready to do so.
