Everything added in the latest Bite By Night update

Last updated: April 8th, 2026

Whether it’s changing the names of its main killers or nerfing abilities that were absolutely cracked at launch, Bite By Night has changed a lot across its updates. You only have to look at a few player tier lists in the days following the multiplayer FNAF tribute’s launch to see what I mean.

The Mimic veered between being a cherished idol, beloved by all, to being called broken and annoying pretty much hourly by the community. Sure, he’s a creepy little robot guy who lures prey by pretending to be a friendly voice beckoning you into the cold embrace of the darkness, but he’s got feelings too, you know!

Either way, it means that every major update has the chance to radically change the game, whether that’s in your favour or not. So, if you want to see if your favourite tactic has officially been nerfed, here’s everything in the latest Bite By Night update.

When was Bite By Night’s latest update?

The most recent update to Bite By Night launched on April 7th, 2026, bringing with it a host of new skins, major fixes, tweaks, and, well, a lot of bugs. Of course, the game’s still in beta, so a few rough edges are bound to crop up, but if you run into anything game-breaking, be sure to head over to the Bite By Night Discord to report any issues you’re butting heads with.

Which new Killers were added in the Bite By Night update?

While Bite By Night’s latest update didn’t add any fully-fledged new Killers, it has added several new skins to established members of its roster. The coolest of the bunch is arguably the Molten skin for Ennard, which emulates the appearance of Molten Freddy from Five Nights At Freddy’s Pizzeria Simulator. As a proud member of the Sister Location defence squad, I’m just happy to see some form of Funtime Freddy make its way to the game, even if he is infested with a sentient mass of worm-like wires.

As for the other skins that were added, we got:

  • Spaghetti – Ennard
  • Mime – Ennard
  • Anomaly – Ennard

In short, a huge day for fans of Ennard and big robot men made of spaghetti, and if you’re the latter, that’s a really specific hyper-fixation that I have to commend you for. You’ve been waiting years, my friend, and it finally paid off. Good for you!

Tweaks, changes, buffs, and nerfs

While we won’t rattle through all of them here (you can check the patch notes at the top of the page if you’re curious!), a lot of big changes came in this latest update alongside some bugs that the devs are currently patching as quickly as possible.

The most notable nerf surrounds the Mimic’s drill ability, where he digs into the ground and spawns under players, dealing AOE damage that knocks them down. One look at the chat in any game with a Mimic player as the Killer will tell you that the community was not jiving with how wildly powerful it could be, and the hitbox has been significantly lowered as a result.

As for buffs, Ennard’s grab hitbox is now bigger, and he’ll deal 0.3 seconds of stun upon landing it, and Springtrap applies the Deafness effect while using Scream, which means you won’t be able to hear his footsteps until it wears off. Anything that beefs up my boy Springtrap is more than welcome at this point, as despite being the FNAF poster child, it’s been rough watching him get outclassed in pretty much every area by Mimic and Ennard.

Other huge buffs have been handed to the Fighter Survivor class, which now has increased HP, inflicts Blindness for longer, and inflicts Deafness with Blindness. Meanwhile, the Security Guard has 0.1 seconds of stun added to their Taser ability. That may seem like a small change, but it’s made the Security Guard even more powerful, as they effectively doubled down on Security Guard being a hard counter to Ennard. Using the taser, they can instantly destroy disguises and knock Ennard out of their grab animation, eliminating half of a standard Ennard player’s game plan. I’m sure many angry text exchanges are being had in Bite By Night servers when an Ennard player is miffed that they lost, claiming they would have got away with it if it weren’t for those meddling Security Guards and their dumb tasers.

Other notable changes

Other changes worth mentioning are the price increases. It seems Bite By Night’s in-game shop has decided to raise Scrap requirements pretty significantly, with all three purchasable Survivor classes getting a price bump. We’ve listed them below:

  • Fighter: 600 Scrap -> 1,350 Scrap
  • Medic: 600 Scrap -> 800 Scrap
  • Security Guard: 900 Scrap -> 1,100 Scrap

Hopefully you managed to grab all of the Survivor roles early on, as the new prices are much heftier and will take way more grinding to add to your inventory. A few skins have also bumped in price, with the biggest leap being the Hoax skin for Springtrap. Whilst that was initially an already pretty hefty 3,500 Scrap, it’s now risen to 5,500 Scrap, which is almost the price you need to pay to purchase Ennard.

As mentioned earlier, there’s also the fact that this update has brought with it a good few bugs. Luckily, that’s paid off with the developer adding their very first redeemable code as an apology. Head over to our Bite By Night codes page if you want to learn more about this new codes system and how to redeem some free Scrap. You’ll need it with the rate of inflation seemingly happening in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria right now…

And that’s that for the latest update to Bite By Night! Be sure to bookmark this page, as we’ll be back when the next update launches to tell you what’s been added, tweaked and nerfed into the shadow realm. In the meantime, be sure to check out our other Bite By Night guides! We’ve made a Bite By Night Tier List to help you pick some Killers and Survivor classes to main, as well as breakdowns of how to farm Scrap and what’s included in the Bite By Night VIP pass.
