Players of the original Fantasy Life game and its mobile spin-off Fantasy Life Online fondly remember passwords: event codes that could be redeemed in-game in exchange for rewards such as exclusive outfits or rare items.
In the long-awaited sequel Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, passwords are back, albeit under a slightly different name to reflect the times. In Fantasy Life i, passwords have been renamed to gift codes, but they still serve a more or less identical purpose of nabbing you some fun in-game extras and freebies.
Like most modern games that feature codes, Fantasy Life i’s devs have promised a steady drip-feed on their social media as a thank-you to players who supported the game from the outset and stick with it for the long-term. Read on below for a full list of working gift codes for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.

Level-5 have confirmed that Fantasy Life i gift codes do not expire. Be aware, however, that a datamined leak of what appear to be planned future code releases has been circulating, but it’s not recommended to attempt to redeem any codes that haven’t officially been announced yet.
How to redeem Fantasy Life i codes
In order to redeem Fantasy Life i gift codes, you must first have played through enough of the story to have chosen your first Life. After that, ensure that the device you’re playing on is connected to the internet before following these steps:
- Open the Weird Pad menu
- Select Gifts > Gift Code Entry from the second page
- Select “Connect” if prompted
- Enter your gift code into the text box
- Select “Accept”
The reward items will immediately be delivered to your inventory. Any items redeemed that are currently unusable (for example, due to your level being too low at present) will be retained but locked, and become available to consume at the appropriate time.
We’ve seen reports that players on Nintendo Switch require a Nintendo Online subscription in order to redeem gift codes. We’ve been unable to test this ourselves because we’re currently playing on PC, but we’re working to verify it.
