Private matches are a great way to get familiar with the new games and maps. It allows players to play with friends or bots in customized games.

It’s been a very popular game in the Call of Duty Series, but gamers haven’t recently made it accessible due to Dev Error 11642.

This issue is apparently repeated to players who attempt to start a private match, so the game mode is momentarily impossible to play.

Dev error 11642 means custom lobbies are unavailable since the update. It’s all dissapointed. I’m going to Vanguard awaiting my cod flow now that this mess is settled. Source

Dev Errors 401 and 292 are also being reported by other COD players MW2 (1,2,3).

In some cases, I can’t start or even open private match. I get Dev Error 401 by simply trying to make a match. If I’m lucky to start a game, the map starts to load, freezes & then either crashes my game or Dev errors. Source

The issue seems to have surfaced recently following the highly anticipated season 1 update.
