Genshin Impact Escoffier build and teams
A strong Genshin Impact Escoffier build has some oddities to work around when it comes to weapon choice, but Escoffier’s highly useful passive talent makes up for that. She makes any Hydro or Cryo character much more effective than usual, though at the expense of having any other element present.
Our Genshin Impact Escoffier build breaks down her best weapons and Artifacts, with some Escoffier team recommendations as well.

Genshin Impact Escoffier weapons
Escoffier is in an odd place for a polearm user, one where her kit benefits from a range of effects found mostly on 5-star weapons. She has several 4-star weapons to choose from as well, though they only support one part of her kit.
Symphonist of Scents is Escoffier’s signature weapon, and as you’d expect, it has everything she needs. Its secondary stat gives the equipping character a sizeable crit damage buff – up to 66 percent at max level – and its passive provides a 12 percent attack buff outright. That effect doubles when the character is off-field, and when they heal, any character who receives the healing gets the Sweet Echo effect, which raises their attack by 32 percent for three seconds.
Since Escoffier’s healing scales with her attack, Shenhe’s Calamity Queller is another strong choice if you already have it. Calamity Queller gives the equipping character a 12 percent elemental damage boost and grants them a 3.2 percent attack buff after they use their elemental skill. The buff has no timer and can stack six times. Staff of Homa, normall for Hu Tao and Arlecchino, increases the user’s attack based on their HP. Escoffier doesn’t need an abnormally high amount of HP, but it’s still comparatively easy to get enough of an attack boost to help support her healing.
Engulfing Lightning is a popular choice thanks to its energy recharge, and Escoffier’s burst deals a fair amount of damage anyway. However, an easier-to-obtain option for energy recharge is the Favonious Lance, which boosts energy and has a high chance of dropping energy particles after the character lands a hit.
Prospector’s Drill is on Escoffier’s first weapon banner, and it’s one of the better 4-star options. When the equipping character heals or is healed, they gain the Unity’s Symbol effect for 30 seconds and can hold three. When they get three and use their skill or burst, they consume all symbols and get a three percent attack boost and seven percent elemental damage boost per symbol consumes.

The craftable Kitain-Cross Spear and Prototype Starglitter are also useful for energy purposes, even though Escoffier doesn’t need the former’s elemental mastery effect. Prototype Starglitter’s buff to normal and charged damage is helpful if Escoffier’s staying on-field to attack enemies.
Genshin Impact Escoffier Artifacts
Most of Escoffier’s damage comes from her skill, so the Fontaine Artifact set Golden Troupe is her best option.
- Two-piece effect: Increases elemental skill damage by 20 percent
- Increases elemental skill damage by an additional 25 percent. When the equipping character is not on the field, elemental skill damage increases by another 25 percent. The effect clears two seconds after the equipping character enters the field again
That’s a total of 70 percent extra skill damage, which is quite the buff. You can reach Fontaine once you’re allowed to leave Mondstadt, so new players won’t have to wait terribly long before they can put a Golden Troupe set together.

Blizzard Strayer is an alternative for parties where Escoffier is the primary damage dealer.
- Two-piece effect: Increases Cryo damage by 15 percent
- Four-piece effect: When the equipping character attacks an enemy affected by Cryo, their crit rate increases by 20 percent. If the enemy is frozen, their crit rate increases by an additional 20 percent
Genshin Impact Escoffier stats
Escoffier’s burst healing scales with attack, but the rest of her damage has flat multipliers. Even if you don’t plan on using her as your party’s primary healer, it’s still a wise idea to build her as a main DPS, as her on-field and off-field damage potential is quite high. That means the usual trio of stats should be your priority – attack, crit damage, and crit rate. Crit damage is better for the circlet piece, though, as Escoffier’s bonus stat gives her roughly 20 percent crit rate by the time she reaches level 90.
- Flower: HP
- Feather: Attack
- Sands: Attack percentage or energy recharge
- Goblet: Attack percentage or cryo damage
- Circlet: Crit damage or crit rate
Genshin Impact Escoffier teams
Escoffier’s third passive talent reduces enemy Cryo and Hydro resistance when her skill hits them by an amount that increases depending on how many characters with those elements are in her party, up to 55 percent. That means she works best in freeze parties, though with how effectively she applies Cryo, you can have her as your only Cryo character and still get along just fine.

Some possible team compositions are:

Diona is a nice addition to any team, really, since she produces so much energy. That means Escoffier can use her burst more often and keep the party’s HP up.
Really, though, with Escoffier’s passive, you’re free to slot in any Hydro or Cryo character you’ve built. Mona, Ayato, Ayaka, Kokomi – most teams don’t need double sustain, but she’s excellent at applying Hydro – heck, even Qiqi and Freminet would work.
What tier is Escoffier in Genshin Impact?
Escoffier is easy to build, even with the oddness surrounding her weapon choices, and is one of the best Cryo applicators in Genshin Impact. The only drawback is that she’s designed primarily for freeze teams with other Hydro and Cryo characters, thanks to her passive talent that reduces Hydro and Cryo resistance based on how many characters in her team are aligned with that element. With fewer than two additional Cryo or Hydro characters, the resistance reduction drops low enough where you’d be better off just having an Anemo character with Viridescent Venerer to use Swirl. Still, with so many 4-star and 5-star Hydro and Cryo options, it’s not a huge setback. Escoffier’s Cryo application and healing potential are good enough that she still works fine in non-ideal teams anyway.
So, TL;DR, Escoffier belongs in the S-tier of our Genshin Impact tier list.
