Reaching Nod-Krai in Genshin Impact might seem like a bit of a struggle initially. If you glance at the map, you can see the region’s broad outline and some Statues of the Seven – but no clear path to get there. Despite Natlan’s curious lack of Waverider waypoints and no way to take Saurians out of the region, you don’t have to use the old “cross the water with Cryo” trick to get to Nod-Krai. You just have to look a little more closely.
Below, we explain how to get to Nod-Krai in Genshin Impact and what to expect when you get there.
Genshin Impact: How to get to Nod-Krai
Open your map, and move it north of Natlan. You’ll see an oblong shape with two Statues of the Seven. Zoom in a bit closer, and a new teleport waypoint will appear for Nasha Town. Select that, and you’ll instantly be in Nod-Krai, on the town outskirts. The closest Statue of the Seven is at Nasha Town’s northwestern exit, which you can reach just by going through the town or taking the long route around the coast. Activating that will fill out the eastern have of Nod-Krai’s current map.
Even with special stamina meals and buffs, you can’t glide or swim from Natlan to Nod-Krai, so if you were hoping for the usual step-out moment when you enter a new Genshin region, there isn’t one here.
You can still reach and explore Nod-Krai even if you don’t meet the requirements to start the region’s first Archon Quest, A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves, and you don’t have to use the quick start function, either. If you want to do it the chronological way, you’ll need to complete:
- Interlude Chapter Act 4: Paralogism
- Song of the Welkin Moon Prelude: The Journey Home
- Reach Adventure Rank 28 or higher
And to use the quick start function to bypass all that, you need to complete the Liyue chapter (Chapter 1, Act 3: A New Star Approaches) and then select “quick start” from the Archon Quest’s tab in the events menu.
