Genshin Impact Ifa build and teams
A good Genshin Impact Ifa build is far more demanding than you might expect for a 4-star healer. Ifa’s heal scaling requires heavy investment in elemental mastery, which limits his weapon choices to a small handful. One of those is free, though, and the good thing about high elemental mastery is that his Swirl reactions will be quite strong.
Our Genshin Impact Ifa build guide breaks down his best weapons and Artifacts, with some Ifa team recommendations as well.

Genshin Impact Ifa weapons
Ifa needs elemental mastery for his healing and Swirl damage, and while there’s a small handful of catalysts that boost that stat, most of them are 5-star weapons. Mizuki’s Sunny Morning Sleep-In is one of the strongest choices. It gives the equipping character 265 elemental mastery at level 90 and an additional 120 mastery from its passive after a Swirl reaction occurs. The user also gets 96 elemental mastery after using their skill and 32 after using their burst. It takes good coordination to get the most out of it, but it’s highly effective once you get the rotation down.
Citlali’s Starcaller’s Watch is a solid choice, thanks to its high elemental mastery secondary stat – the same as Sunny Morning – and an extra 100 mastery from its passive, though the rest of the passive requires shields to work. Nahida’s A Thousand Floating Dreams has the most elemental mastery support – but only if you have other Anemo characters on the team. That’s not ideal for Ifa, though the extra element damage it provides is still useful.
A better choice is the 4-star Wandering Evenstar, which also has some party-wide buffs in addition to elemental mastery for the equipping character. Every 10 seconds, the user will gain 24 percent of their elemental mastery as bonus attack for 12 seconds, and allies gain 30 percent of that buff for their own attack. Anyone else using Wandering Evenstar will trigger their own instance of this buff, and they can stack.
Another easier-to-obtain option is Sacrificial Fragments, which, in addition to providing a good amount of elemental mastery, gives the user a chance to reset their skill cooldown. You can also craft Mappa Mare for free. Even though Mappa Mare’s elemental mastery stat is lower than that of the other options on this list, its passive skill grants an elemental damage buff after the user triggers a reaction, which Ifa will do quite often. Since you can craft the weapon, you can get the maximum 16 percent damage buff more easily than trying to get the maximum buff for other gacha weapons.
Genshin Impact Ifa Artifacts
Like most Swirl and Anemo support characters, Ifa’s best Artifact set is Viridescent Venerer.
- Two-piece effect: Increases Anemo damage by 15 percent
- Four-piece effect: Increases Swirl damage by 60 percent and decreases opponent’s resistance to elements used in Swirl by 40 percent for 10 seconds

An alternative is using two elemental mastery sets to give him 160 mastery at the expense of a full set’s special effect. That would be Wanderer’s Troupe and Gilded Dreams.
Genshin Impact Ifa stats
Ifa’s healing scales with his elemental mastery, and his Swirl damage potential benefits from it as well. The test version during Ifa’s debut banner had his elemental mastery at over 800, which is not an easy feat to achieve even with the best weapons and Artifacts, unless you get incredibly lucky in your stat rolls. Still, you want to aim for as much elemental mastery as you can feasibly get on him. Energy recharge is also helpful, though as a substat – not a main stat.
That makes determining Ifa’s best Artifact stats a straightforward matter.
- Flower: HP
- Feather: Attack
- Sands: Elemental mastery
- Goblet: Elemental mastery
- Circlet: Elemental mastery
Genshin Impact Ifa teams
Ifa’s teams are where things get a little bizarre. One of his passive talents increases damage from Electro-Charge, which would require at least one Electro and one Hydro character in the mix. Electro-Charge is one of Genshin Impact’s weakest and least-useful reactions, though, so it’s not really worth building a team for that alone. It is, however, worth keeping in mind when you put your teams together. For example, Ifa, Electro, Hydro, and Dendro can make for a strong hyperbloom team.

While Ifa, Electro, Hydro, and Cryo work for superconduct and freeze.
- Ifa
- Escoffier, Charlotte, Diona, or another Cryo applicator
- Furina, Mona, or a 4-star Hydro
- Fischl or another Electro
You can also just use Ifa as an Anemo support or healer for any team. Swirl and the Viridescent Venerer debuff make him a strong damage dealer in his own right and one who can help make the most of your party’s elemental damage.
What tier is Ifa in Genshin Impact?
Ifa’s an odd character. His skill and its flight are useful for healing and for keeping him out of melee reach. However, he also has no interruption resistance while in the air, making him vulnerable to archers, magic users, and enemies with longer reach. His healing per shot is rather low – hence the need for such high elemental mastery – so he’s not quite as effective as other healers. The good thing about requiring such high mastery is that his Swirl damage increases as a result, and the fact that he can occupy Anemo support and healer slots frees a spot on your team.
He’s not terrible or great, in other words, and his versatility is his strongest attribute at present. We’d put him at the bottom of the A-tier in our Genshin tier list.
