Grow a Garden’s immensely popular Cooking Update is still ongoing, and in case you hadn’t already had your fill, there’s been a whole second influx of new content adding even more new recipes, pets, and more.
One noteworthy new addition is the Rat Connoisseur, an NPC who’s set up stall near to Chris P. Bacon at the centre of the map. As their name suggests, the Rat Connoisseur is here to judge the produce of your garden, and in exchange they’ll dish out some lovely rewards – including a couple of the new pets introduced in Part 2 of the Cooking Update, Sunny-Side Chicken and Gorilla Chef.
How to get the Rat Connoisseur’s rewards in Grow a Garden
Despite their refined appearance, impressing the Rat Connoisseur is actually quite straightforward, albeit not necessarily easy: you just need to present them with any mutated foodstuff.
Doing this will trigger the Rat Connoisseur’s unique NPC reward system. Rather than just give you a set reward, Rat Connoisseur will select three rewards from their inventory, of which you get to choose whichever one you want.
