A festive update has arrived in Grand Theft Auto Online, bringing snowfall and holiday decorations to Los Santos. Players will receive free in-game items for logging in during this winter celebration, and there are returning seasonal events as well.
Those who log in anytime between December 19 and January 1 can claim a holiday stocking filled with gifts, including a penguin onesie, a gold reindeer pendant, a jacket and pants set, a snowball launcher, a fireworks rocket launcher with 20 rockets, and a fresh stock of snacks and ammo.
Four holiday events also return for the season: Weazel Plaza Shootout, The Gooch, Snowmen, and Yeti Hunt. Completing these events before January 1 will grant the following rewards:
- Hunt down the Yeti to receive the Yeti Outfit
- Take out The Gooch to receive The Gooch Outfit
- Destroy all 25 Snowmen to receive The Snowman Outfit
- Neutralize the criminal masterminds in the Weazel Plaza Shootout to claim the WM 29 Pistol and the Season’s Greetings Pistol Mk II Skin
Players should be on the lookout for the Happy Holidays Hauler cruising around in-game. This vehicle is dropping additional gifts onto the streets of Los Santos, which include GTA$, RP, snacks, and ammo refills. It also guarantees either the eCola Festive Sweater or the Sprunk Festive Sweater with each pickup.
Additionally, all players earn 3X GTA$ and RP in the Entourage (Festive Remix) featured series. This holiday remix divides players into teams for a battle of elves versus Krampuses, and completing objectives can unlock bonus rewards:
- Complete Entourage (Festive Remix) once to receive the Snowman Finish for the Combat Pistol
- Win five matches of Entourage (Festive Remix) to receive the Skull Santa Finish for the Special Carbine
- Win Entourage (Festive Remix) as Santa to receive the Santa’s Helper Finish for the Heavy Sniper
GTA Online’s holiday spirit also includes various vehicle discounts at Premium Deluxe Motorsport showroom, and two new law-enforcement vehicles are added to the game.
