Honkai Star Rail 3.2 banners bring Castorice and Anaxa to the front and drag Dr Ratio out of retirement
Honkai Star Rail 3.2 banners roll out the red carpet for two new characters and several returning ones, including the first Dr Ratio rerun since the snarky academic appeared in 2022. HoYoverse is bringing back a larger selection of returning 5-star characters as well, though thankfully, not as many as when version 3.0 went live.
Our Honkai Star Rail 3.2 banners guide breaks down who’s running when and also what changes are coming to the standard banner in version 3.2.
Honkai Star Rail 3.2 banners – Castorice and friends
The first round of banners goes live on April 9, 2025, with the start of version 3.2, or late in the evening on April 8, 2025, depending on your time zone. Castorice is the new 5-star character for this set of banners, a Remembrance character who can keep characters from dying once. That’s helpful, seeing as her memosprite absorbs HP from everyone in the party to deal high critical damage.
- Castorice (Quantum, Remembrance)
- Acheron (Electric, Nihility)
- Fugue (Fire, Nihility)
- Jiaoqiu (Fire, Nihility)
Acheron was the star of the early HSR 2.X patches, thanks to her incredibly powerful ultimate ability, which reduces toughness and enemy damage resistance. She needs other Nihility characters to activate her passives, though, such as Jiaoqiu. Jiaoqiu’s ultimate creates a field that makes enemies take more damage from other characters’ ultimates, and he can inflict a debuff that reduces their defense as well.
Finally is Fugue, a fairly recent arrival who can reduce enemy toughness regardless of their weaknesses and whose break and weakness-related kit makes her an excellent support for the likes of Firefly, Boothill, and Rappa.
The signature Light Cones for all four characters will run in separate Light Cone banners as well.
The 4-star characters on these banners are:
- Gallagher (Fire, Abundance)
- Lynx (Quantum, Abundance)
- Pela (Nihility, Ice)
Honkai Star Rail 3.2 banners – Anaxa and Dr Ratio

The newcomer in the spotlight with this set in Anaxa, a 5-star Erudition character who adds random weaknesses and deals more damage when enemies have more weakness types. Dr Ratio also makes a return appearance for the first time in two years.
- Anaxa (Wind, Erudition)
- Dr Ratio (Imaginary, Hunt)
Dr Ratio has a chance of delivering a follow-up attack to enemies, and that chance increases if they have debuffs. His ultimate also marks them for receiving an even stronger follow-up attack after any ally attacks them.
Both characters will have their respective signature Light Cones up for grabs in the Light Cone banner. Dr Ratio’s is usually considered a premier option for Hunt characters such as Feixiao, so if you don’t care about him but need to buff up your other Hunt characters, it might be worth (wisely) trying to get his Light Cone.
The 4-stars on their banners are:
- Serval (Electric, Erudition)
- Moze (Electric, Hunt)
- Dan Heng (Wind, Hunt)
Honkai Star Rail 3.2 standard banner changes

Starting in HSR 3.2, HoYoverse is adding three previously limited characters to the pool of standard banner characters.
- Blade (Wind, Destruction)
- Fu Xuan (Quantum, Preservation)
- Seele (Quantum, Hunt)
After the version goes live, you can pick up to three characters in the current standard banner and replace them with any of these new picks.
