At this point in Atomfall, you’ve no doubt wandered into the Interchange, restored power to your first Data Store, and met the enigmatic Joyce Tanner inside. Tanner is more than happy to see someone who hasn’t immediately tried to kill her, and as a result, asks you to help her restore power to three Radio Towers so she can send a message out beyond the interference field that is keeping everyone trapped here.
Powering these towers isn’t a matter of waltzing up to them and pressing a button though, sadly. You’ll need to find their associated Keycards first, which are in nearby Bunkers. To help you out with Tanner’s task, here’s how to activate all Radio Towers in Atomfall.
How to activate all Radio Towers for Joyce Tanner in Atomfall
When you first meet up with Joyce Tanner in Data Store Charlie in Atomfall, you’ll end up having a long chinwag about activating three Radio Towers across the map so that she can send a message beyond the interference field.
This particular objective is entirely optional, but if you want to get into Joyce’s good books and advance her quest, you’ll need to complete it. Fortunately, it isn’t as troublesome as you might first think, despite all the travelling you’ll need to do.
Here’s where to find all three Radio Towers and how to power them:
Slatten Dale Radio Tower
The Slatten Dale Radio Tower is found south of the Interchange in Atomfall, and is right beside an Outlaw Camp. When you arrive, however, you will need the Slatten Dale Radio Tower Keycard to power it. The same goes for the other two Radio Towers; all of them require Keycards that you’ll need to fetch from nearby.
Fortunately, there’s a note inside of the Radio Tower that sends you to a cave in the quarry directly below it. You’ll need to be wary of the leeches in the water as you clamber inside the cave, but once inside, there’s no enemies to worry about.
Simply advance to the end of the cave and loot the Keycard off the corpse at the end. Return and activate the Slatten Dale Radio Tower, and then it’s time to move onto Casterfell Woods Radio Tower.
Casterfell Woods Radio Tower
The Casterfell Woods Radio Tower is found just north of the Helicopter Crash Site in Atomfall.
Just like the previous tower, you will need the Casterfell Woods Radio Tower Keycard to power it, and fortunately, a note inside the tower reveals that this particular Keycard can be found in Bunker L9. It also adds the location of the Bunker to your map
Inside the Bunker, the Casterfell Woods Radio Tower Keycard is found on a desk. After powering the tower, it’s time for a trip to Skethermoor.
Skethermoor Radio Tower
The Skethermoor Radio Tower is found east of the Crop Fields, and south of Nora’s Barn in Atomfall.
The note inside of the tower reveals that the Skethermoor Radio Tower Keycard can be found in the Vehicle Storage Bunker near the Greenhouses to the north of it.
There are some Outlaws around the area and inside the bunker, so take caution. On top of that, be sure to fully explore the bunker as there are some very important items – aside from the Keycard – that you can grab here.
With the Skethermoor Radio Tower powered at last, you’ll receive a strange intermission. Your next quest step is to return to Joyce Tanner in Data Store Charlie and let her know the job is done.
