Much like the original game, Elden Ring Nightreign‘s open world includes a wide variety of features for you to discover – usually leading to some kind of altercation that you’ll be rewarded for surviving in one piece.
So, what to make of the glowing statues you’ll occasionally encounter during your explorations of Limveld? The good news is that they’re one of the few things in this world that’s not about to turn into a 20-foot-tall boss and tread on you. On the other hand, it’s perhaps not immediately obvious what you are supposed to do with them.

How to break glowing statues in Elden Ring Nightreign
You need to break the glowing statues in Elden Ring Nightreign if you want to reap the rewards contained within, but a basic attack simply won’t do the job.
Certain characters’ Ultimate attacks are particularly effective at breaking the glowing statues, with anything that deals physical damage that can impact the nearby terrain being ideal. So if you’re playing as Wylder, Ironeye, Raider, or Executor, you have the solution already on-hand.
That’s not to say that players favouring other archetypes are out of luck, however, and if your character’s Ult isn’t currently charged you don’t necessarily need to wait. Glowing statues can also be destroyed by bosses and even some larger regular enemies – try baiting one into attacking while the statue is in range!
Once the statue is broken, you’ll be rewarded with the opportunity to pick up some better-than-average loot. The statues seem to be biased towards dropping Smithing Stones in particular.
