Life in inZOI isn’t all about taking in stunning city vistas while surrounded by your impossibly gorgeous neighbours, you know. Occasionally, bad stuff happens to Zois, and while minor sicknesses are undoubtedly on the milder end of the scale, they’re an annoyance at best, and can lead to worse things down the road.
Minor illnesses in inZOI are somewhat seasonal, with allergies more likely during hot weather and colds cropping up more during the cooler seasons. However, the symptoms of both are similar: if you notice your Zoi coughing or sneezing, they’ve probably come down with one or the other.
Nobody wants a Zoi coughing and spluttering all over the place, and colds in particular can have some nastier long-term consequences if they go untreated. Read on below to learn how to get medicine and cure illness in inZOI.
How to get medicine in inZOI
Has your Zoi has started displaying symptoms of illness — which, in addition to coughs and sneezes, will be flagged by an Uncomfortable emotional state with a bit of helpful explanatory text? If so, you’re going to need to be proactive in aiding their recovery. Ill Zois don’t tend to get well on their own, unfortunately, so you’ll need to get them some medicine.
Luckily, medicine isn’t difficult to come by in inZOI — although it may not be immediately obvious where to find it. This is because you don’t actually purchase it by itself, but as part of the first aid kit item.
First aid kits are a build mode item that cost ₩100, and given how useful it is to have one, this one-time purchase is well worth it. When ill, your Zois can use the first aid kit to treat themselves with the appropriate type of medicine, and they won’t even need to pay for the bottle after the initial outlay to buy the first aid kit.
If your Zois are somehow really broke despite the readily available money cheat in the game, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be able to find a first aid kit somewhere in the world without spending a thing. Pre-furnished apartments often have one already in place, as do workplaces if your Zoi is employed in an active career.
Alternatively, you can purchase a Vaccine Donut from the Meow Store for 100 Meow Coins, which when consumed helps to build your Zoi’s tolerance against both colds and allergies. Despite the wording, this is also an effective cure if your Zoi is already suffering from either condition, and seems to actually be a permanent solution from what we’ve seen.
Can Zois die from sicknesses?
Zois can absolutely die from viral illnesses if they go untreated for too long — so if your Zoi has a cold, be sure to hunt down a first aid kit and cure them! However, the time it takes for a minor cold to become a full-blown and potentially-deadly viral infection isn’t instantaneous, so there’s no need to panic the first time you see your Zoi sneeze. Just make sure they swing by a first aid kit over the next few days and they should be fine.
On the other hand, nothing we’ve seen so far suggests that Zois can die from allergies, even though they are essentially the hot weather equivalent of colds in most other ways. Unlike colds, allergies should eventually go away on their own after a few in-game days, especially if the weather cools off during that time. However, the constant Uncomfortable emotion is annoying to manage in the meantime, so you’ll probably want to have your Zoi take some medicine for their allergies.
