How to regain stamina in Heartopia
Your character in Heartopia won’t get tired just because they’ve gone too long without sleep or food, but nevertheless, the game does contain a stamina system. Like most life sims that aren’t going for full-on realism, your stamina will reduce only when your character does high-intensity physical activities like chopping trees, reeling in fish, or digging in the garden.
Stamina management isn’t a huge issue in Heartopia: it’s easy to lose a lot of stamina without realising it, but fortunately it’s also very easy to refill your stamina bar. Read on below for every method of regaining stamina in Heartopia, plus a few of our observations about their effectiveness.
How to regain stamina in Heartopia
Stamina doesn’t regenerate on its own in Heartopia, but you can regain stamina in the following ways:
- Sleeping on a bed will refill stamina at a steady rate of +1 every 5 seconds. Notably, if you end your play session with your character asleep in a bed, your next play session will begin with your stamina fully restored.
- Eating food will instantly refill a variable chunk of stamina based on the quality of the recipe and its component ingredients. You can also eat certain raw ingredients like fruits for a smaller boost of stamina.
- Collecting a stamina gift by popping any randomly spawned gift bubble that has a green upwards-pointing arrow inside it; these convey a variety of stamina effects, including gradual refill buffs.
Note: Stamina is capped at 100 points, unless you have a temporary buff active that extends its capacity.
In conclusion, it’s always worth making your way back to your house and putting your character to bed before ending your play session, since stamina won’t regenerate automatically even while you’re logged off.
It’s also well worth focusing on the cooking and gardening hobbies early on, since this allows you to craft high-quality dishes with better ingredients that will restore more stamina.
You’ll need plenty of stamina if you want to swing your axe arm in order to collect your daily allowance of Roaming Oak Timber and Flawless Flourite, the rarest wood and stone resources in Heartopia, respectively. And whatever you do, don’t forget to redeem any Heartopia gift codes you might not have claimed yet!
