How to unlock and complete Myths in Love and Deepspace
Love and Deepspace‘s Myths are side-stories found under the Date category of this dating sim slash ARPG hybrid, but in truth, they’re the most plot-heavy – if not plot-critical – romantic escapades in the game, especially when stacked up against the kind of fluffy, no-peril scenarios found in other Date types.
Without wishing to get into plot spoilers, LaDS’ Myths fill in some pretty crucial details about why a quintet (and counting) of eligible bachelors are all this obsessed with connecting with our heroine to the exclusion of all others. You thought that was just how otome games worked? Think again, there’s actually a deep well of plot justification at play here.
Seeing everything Myths have to offer is a multi-step process, and the game isn’t entirely clear about what you’re getting into going in. So read on for a full explainer of how to unlock and complete Myths in Love and Deepspace.
How to unlock Myths in Love and Deepspace
The basic criteria for unlocking each individual Myth date is the same, although the specifics vary. You always need to have reached Darling Level 30 Affection with the character in question, and pulled one of two specified 5-star Solar Memories for that character from the gacha.
Memory pairs such as the ones that unlock Myths are designed to grant bonus abilities when deployed together in battles, but you only need to pull one or the other to unlock the associated Myth. However, you will need both Memories eventually to complete the full date story (see below). Obtaining both paired Memories will also unlock an exclusive new outfit and associated combat kit for the character in question.
So far, each love interests in LaDS has two Myth dates each: one which launches with the character and can from then on be obtained at any time from the game’s permanent wish pool, and another which you need to catch on a dedicated limited-time wish pool (all of which, fortunately, have so far been rerun a couple of times a year).
Below are all Myths currently available in Love and Deepspace, and the Memories required to initially unlock them:
Character | Myth Title | Associated Memories | Wish Pool |
---|---|---|---|
Xavier | Shooting Stars | Lightseeking Obsession Lightseeking Shadowrend |
X-Space Echo (permanent) |
Xavier | Twilight’s Dawn | Midnight Rainfall Midnight Whispers |
Shimmering Moonlight (limited-time) |
Zayne | Tower of Secrets | Forever Sealed Promise Everlasting |
X-Space Echo (permanent) |
Zayne | Snow’s Embrace | Snowfall Encounter Snowfall Embrace |
Trace of Divinity (limited-time) |
Rafayel | Sea of Golden Sand | Deep Sea Promise Deep Sea Riches |
X-Space Echo (permanent) |
Rafayel | Forgotten Sea | Temple’s Sunset Temple’s Promise |
When Tides Echo (limited-time) |
Sylus | Captivating Moment | Captivating Lesson Captivating Flavor |
X-Space Echo (permanent) |
Sylus | Beyond Cloudfall | Abyssal Mark Abyssal Blossom |
Where Drakeshadows Fall (limited-time) |
Caleb | Lucid Dream | Farspace Deprivation Farspace Bloomfall |
X-Space Echo (permanent) |
Caleb | Decoherence | Loneroad Together Loneroad Unreturned |
Farewell Intimacy (limited-time) |
Note: Slightly confusingly, there’s also a specific 4-star Memory for Rafayel called Myths, but that doesn’t have anything to do with accessing Myth dates.
How to complete Myths in Love and Deepspace
We’ve already mentioned that Myths are basically the premium date stories in Love and Deepspace, so perhaps it shouldn’t be too surprising that unlike other dates you can go on in the game, Myths aren’t a one-and-done deal.
When you unlock a Myth as outlined above, you only unlock the first of nine chapters. In order to unlock the next eight in turn, you’ll need Myth Shards. Myth Shards are yet another currency among the many, many different ones used in LaDS, and as is normal for this game, they have a limited source and an extremely narrow use.

You gain a Myth Shard every time you ascend one of the Memories associated with that Myth. This is why you need both halves of the Memory pair to fully complete a Myth: you gain one Myth Shard upon ascending each Memory past the ascension caps at levels 20, 40, 50, and 60.
So that’s four Myth Shards per Memory, and eight once you’ve fully ascended the pair, at which point you can see the finale to that particular Myth story. It’s a long-term project, since you can only farm so many materials per day, but since Myths are in some senses the end-game of the dating sim side of LaDS, the idea is presumably that you don’t need to rush it.
Note that Myth Shards can only be used to unlock chapters for the Myth story they were earned from and are associated with. So, for example, you can’t level up an Xavier Myth Memory to unlock a new chapter for one of Zayne’s Myths; in fact, you can’t even use one of Zayne’s Tower of Secrets Myth Shards to unlock a new chapter of his Snow’s Embrace Myth.
