How to use of Meteor Shards in 99 Nights in the Forest

0

As if the beasts and baddies on the ground weren’t enough, now there are meteors falling from the sky in 99 Nights in the Forest, scattering Meteor Shards in their wake.

In the night, if you’re lucky, you can see a meteor shower flash across the sky, just like with the similar alien invasion event. Guarded by meteor crabs, the crash sites can be pillaged for a variety of items. The crabs themselves are a source of food, while meteor fragments can be broken with an axe into Meteor Shards.

Here’s how to collect both Meteor Shards and Gold Shards for yourself, as well as what to do with them once your bag is full! To make the most of this new event, make sure you’ve got one of the best classes in 99 Nights in the Forest equipped. But if you’re struggling to unlock them, check out our 99 Nights in the Forest codes page for some free diamonds.

Sometimes, at night, you will see the message “the sky is on fire”. This tells you that a meteor shower is currently underway overhead.

In the morning, you will be able to find new meteor crash sites scattered all across your map. Guarded by meteor crabs, larger crash sites will contain large, red, rocky outcrops.

Hit these red rocks with your axe and you will obtain meteor shards and gold shards. These materials can then be used at a new version of a returning location to create powerful items!

Once a meteor shower has landed and crash sites have been scattered around your map, you will also be able to find the red anvil building at a random location in your world.

If you build a map, you will be able to see its location marked with an exclamation point during the event window, or just the red anvil afterwards.

At the red anvil building, you first need to rebuild the anvil by dragging the Anvil Front, Anvil Back and Anvil Base to the outline in the middle of the chamber.

Next, once the anvil is back up-and-running, interact with the crafting table and you will see a suite of new crafting recipes which you can build using meteor shards. These include trimming kits which improve the power and efficiency of your already equipped items!

Meteor Shards are much easier to use than Obsidiron Ingots, which require more processing before you can turn them into anything useful.
