I’m a gamer, always have been.

It’s lights out as F1 2017 arrives on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

The annual F1 title on Xbox One is hitting the shelves today – both physically and digitally – delivering all the superstar drivers, their cars, and the tracks of the current F1 season in style. Oh, and the classics are back for good measure! F1 2017 may just be the best F1 title for many a year. Surely you can’t miss out on that?

F1 2017 will come with an extremely in depth Career mode, complete with different Invitational events (housing events such as overtake challenges, pursuit events, checkpoint and time attack challenges) and unlockable upgrades to get stuck into. There will be an increased importance on the reliability of the car’s engine and gearbox too, as the last thing you want when you are in first place is for the engine to blow.

As well as including all the tracks from the current season, F1 2017 also has four shortened Bahrain, Britain, USA and Japan circuits and a Monaco night track to burn rubber on.

A deep Career mode is in place as F1 2017 offers other offline and online options, from the varied gameplay found in the new ‘Championships’ mode to the enhanced online multiplayer offering – improved with better matchmaking, new online stats and a levelling system. Everything found in the multiplayer can be played with either the current 2017 cars or the newly introduced classic cars.

The classic cars in question are historic Formula One cars from years gone – like the 1991 McLaren MP4/6, the 2002 Ferrari F2002 and the more recent 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6. If you like your classic cars and have been missing them from recent iterations then F1 2017 has you covered.

F1 2017 is apparently ‘the most complete and thrilling F1 video-game ever’ – and with the large amount of content found within, it may just be so. Our full review points at that being the case as well. Make sure you check it out right here and find out why we have given F1 2017 the big 5/5 rating.

F1 2017 is available via the Special Bundle (which includes the additional 1988 McLaren MP4/4 Classic Car DLC), which is available until October 17th. After which, we’d guess it will be gone forever. It is now available on Xbox One for £54.99, with PS4 and Microsoft Windows PC players also being able to get in on the fast action.

Game Description:

Make history in F1™ 2017. Win the 2017 World Championship, break every record in the fastest ever F1™ cars, and race some of the most iconic F1 cars of the last 30 years.
