Mercenary Tier List

This one’s a bit more straightforward and honest, since common mercs don’t exactly bring flashy fireworks – no silencing you for 15 turns or summoning undead armies here. Mostly, they just show up, hit stuff, and get hit right back. Simple, brutal, and kinda charming in its own way.

Starting strong with the undisputed MVP of common mercs – Blackmailer (Faye).

She hits hard and throws down a bouncer shield upfront like a boss. In lower leagues, this combo lets her blast through a module, wipe out anyone sneaking behind it, or safely dish out double damage – making her easily the top DPS choice among commons.

Right below Blackmailer (Faye) is her budget-friendly but still pretty solid cousin – Patrol Officer (Sharon).

She’s strong for pretty much the same reasons: she summons an extra unit in front of her as backup, acting like a second pair of hands to clear mercs hiding behind modules, provide double wall shield, or just double the damage output. Her damage isn’t quite as high, but it’s still nothing to sneeze at.

Performer (Sunmi) is a solid melee pick all about offense.

Her multi-attack makes her great at triggering effects like Infection or clearing two targets at once. She’s absolutely insane when paired with Kraisa, but on her own, her attack stat falls a bit short. Still, that multi-attack hitting for 50 damage twice (100 total) can often outshine a single 100 attack – especially when you want to trigger status effects or clean up multiple enemies in one go.

Lookout (Leta) is the top melee damage dealer among the commons, boasting a whopping 162 attack when maxed out – beating Specialist (Korben) by a single point.

Her flat ability, Force Shield, completely blocks one incoming hit, letting her survive longer and mimic that double-wall defense strategy like Blackmailer (Faye) and Patrol Officer (Sharon). The catch? She can’t attack twice, which is why she ranks a bit lower despite the raw power.

Specialist (Korben) is the runner-up when it comes to raw attack power – second only to Lookout (Leta) like I mentioned above.

He’s here to smack hard – no fancy tricks, just raw damage. Yeah, his abilities can buff attack and health a little, but let’s be real, it’s mostly just background noise.

Sentry (Kitty) rolls in third place for damage.

Just like Specialist (Korben), she’s all about that raw smackdown – but since she doesn’t have his looks, she gets stuck ranking a bit lower. Sorry, Kitty, it’s a brutal world out here.

Some final thoughts on other mercs…

The rest of these commons? Honestly, not worth your time. We rank them by raw attack because late game is basically a “who can delete stuff the fastest before your time is up” showdown. Health? Nah, it’s a joke – these green scrubs get one-shot like they’re made of wet noodles. Smash, delete, repeat.

Of course, you’ll need two more mercs to round out the squad, so pick your poison:

  • Archer (Kayya) – Solid attack, decent health (yeah, health might matter… once or twice).
  • Looter (Trixie) – Melee option, not my fave, but her attack and health are pretty decent. She’s basically a “commander healer” if you squint and ignore how useless those ability values are. Still kinda interesting, somehow.
  • Cowgirl (Salma) – Just pure attack power, no fluff.

Android Tier List

Now we get to the Androids – these tiny shitters are lowkey the MVPs of the whole setup. They turn your basic team challenge into a slightly more tolerable circus. Wouldn’t call it fun, but it’s definitely something.

Disclaimer: This ranking is based on low-level Androids (under level 50), aka the ones you’ll be stuck with until the heat death of the universe. If the leveling grind ever gets less cursed, I’ll update the list to cover all 150 levels. Maybe. Probably? Probably not.

Android: Agnes

Rarity: SSR

  • 1st Ability:
    • Meh. Occasionally pulls a clutch move and deletes a 2 HP enemy like it meant to do that – but 99% of the time? It’s just vibing in the background, hoping you forget it exists. Conditional and forgettable.
  • 2nd Ability:
    • Now we’re talking. Agnes summons two budget MMA fighters straight outta nowhere, and suddenly the battlefield’s looking spicy. Pair ’em with Audrey’s turrets and you’ve got a mini army tossing hands while your real DPS chills in the back like a boss.
    • Basically: Free damage, free clean-up, good vibes. Agnes climbs that tier list with pure hustle.

Android: Audrey

Rarity: SR

  • 1st Ability:
    • This is your primary attack buff – reliable and strong. It helps boost early direct hit damage, making it a solid choice for setting the tone in the first few turns.
  • 2nd Ability:
    • Another great attack buffing tool. The only drawback is turret placement – it can get tricky when using characters like Patrol Officer (Sharon) or Blackmailer (Faye), especially if the mid row is already crowded. That said, the ability itself is still very effective and worth using with a bit of planning.

Android: Ruby

Rarity: SR

  • 1st Ability:
    • Great support skill for common mercs – pair it with Audrey and you’ll see the buffs ramp up fast. Makes your frontline feel a lot stronger, a lot quicker.
  • 2nd Ability:
    • Reliable stim drop on turn one, giving your team an early boost they can use right away. Nothing flashy, but definitely effective.

Honorable Mentions:

When you’re running Commander Gia, you MIGHT get better value with one these two since their abilities hype up her second skill. Sounds good in theory, but let’s be real – you’re still rolling with common mercs who can’t tank worth a damn or build a fortress. So yeah, they can pop off… but don’t hold your breath. Ayong is basically Milica from Temu, but hey.. she is free so there you go.

Android: Milica

Rarity: SSR

  • 1st Ability:
    • Works best when paired with Gia, but outside of that it’s pretty solid for dealing with force shields – as long as the enemy stats aren’t flexing too hard.
  • 2nd Ability:
    • Basically just a round 3 version of the first ability. Same vibes, delayed action.

Android: Ayong

Rarity: R

  • 1st Ability:
    • Works best when paired with Gia but is also useful for breaking force shields at times, especially against enemies with lower stats.
  • 2nd Ability:
    • The exploding module clears out pesky modules and force shields, making it a ok combo with Gia to eliminate troublesome enemies.

Some final thoughts on androids…

The other androids are basically NPCs doing nothing useful-skip ’em. When new ones show up, I’ll check if they’re worth the hype and maybe update this sad little list. Until then, they’re just background decoration.
