Marvel’s Midnight Suns, a XCOM-style superhero game, has been delayed again and is likely to not arrive until next year.

After a pre-trial delay, the developer Firaxis Games and its publisher Take-Two Interactive announced that Marvels Midnight Suns would arrive this October the seventh. However, with the tactical RPG already confirmed, when the team of Marvel superheroes is fighting the supernatural, it will be delayed until later this year.

No, we haven’t been reading Take-Twos financial reports. This statement came directly from the official Midnight Suns Twitter account. What so curious, thought nothing unprecedented, that the statement, a little cryptically, refers to fiscal year. The current fiscal year to take-Two runs until March 31st 2023, so that we don’t see the game until next year.

According to the statement, the game was delayed so that we can continue to provide the best possible experience. Marvels Midnight Suns is easily the greatest game we’ve ever played, the statement continues. It was an unbelievable joy for the support players who have shared with us throughout the years.

In other words, the game needs more work. By only declaring this fiscal year, Firaxis and Take-Two gave themselves a very large window seven up to twelve months to get the release ready. Despite that, there’s still a catch.

The versions of the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S should, fingers crossed, arrive before the end of March 2023, but the same release window does not apply to last gen and Nintendo Switch versions. That is a definite statement. Both the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch may not get the game until after that date.

So if you want to take a pre-order, or put it in already, then you might like to reconsider that, especially if you have switched, Xbox One or PS4. In the meantime, if you want to console yourself with Firaxiss back catalogue, you can buy the digital PlayStation 4 version for a ridiculous 4.549/5.99 %.
