Masters of Albion is a “culmination” of Peter Molyneux’s life’s work, and it’s coming to PC this April
Peter Molyneux’s Masters of Albion – which the game creator has said is the “culmination” of his life’s work – has landed itself a release date.
Masters of Albion is coming from Molyneux and 22cans, and will arrive on 22nd April for PC via Steam. “Masters of Albion is a bold reimagining of the God Game genre, from the creator who defined it,” reads the official Steam description. “Revel in the freedom of true Godhood. In [Masters of Albion], there is no single solution, only your solution. Build whatever, wherever. Hire whoever, whenever. Kill or carry, crush or coax.
“You are the ultimate power.”
Molyneux said Masters of Albion’s forthcoming release owes “so much” to other games already out there, such as Dungeon Keeper, Black & White and Fable, which he famously also worked on.
“It’s a totally unique game that we hope will delight players, a game that brings God Games into the modern gaming landscape and puts the genre firmly back on the map,” the developer said of Masters of Albion.
The game itself will allow players to command the world with ancient powers. You want to build it, you go for it. The world of Albion is, quite literally, in your hands.

Masters of Albion was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024. Our former editor Tom Phillips spoke to Molyneux all about Masters of Albion ahead of its reveal, where the developer said:
“I’m in my 60s now… My lifestyle is so awful. My life expectancy is probably measured in seconds rather than years. So if I’m going to design another game, it’s got to matter.”
