New Monster Hunter Wilds mod turns furry monsters into those weird hairless cats, and I reckon it’s been flagged as having “some suspicious files” just cos it’s cursed

If you’ve been enjoying Monster Hunter Wilds as a nude buff male thanks to modders, I have important news. There’s now a mod that’ll let you ensure that a bunch of poor monsters are bearing nearly as much skin as your character, and it’s only, er, very cursed.

Yep, avert your eyes, those shaved Pokemon and sphinx cat lovers have come for MonHun’s furry and feathered friends. They might get cold, for pete’s sake. Think of the consequences before you mess with nature!

Anyway, the mod that commits these crimes is Aziaron’s ‘Featherless Monsters‘, and it does exactly what it says on the tin, plus a bit extra, with furry monsters also having been targeted.

The modder’s attacked – for lack of a better term – a bunch of mons both big and small. From Blangongas, Gore Magalas, and even Guardian Arkveld, to Comaqchi, Rafma and Guardian Seikret – all have been de-furred or feathered. To be fair, Aziaron has left the Doshaguma their manes and the Congalala their little hair horn tufts, so that’s something.

As with a lot of MonHun mods, you’ll need to grab REFramework if for some reason you like the idea of hairless creatures gadding about looking pretty wrong, but I’d just keep an eye on this mod for now, as Nexus Mods lists its virus scan as having flagged up “some suspicious files”. Yep, even automated virus checkers seem to think this is cursed.

All jokes aside, it could be something as simple as Aziaron having formatted their files the wrong way in the initial upload, but it’s always better to play it safe with this kind of thing. If you happen to be one of those weirdos who owns a cat that looks a bit like a scrotum with ears and a tail – I assume that’s who the audience for this is – maybe you can just look at the images on the mod page while cackling manaically in order to get your shaved mons fix.
