Otherworld Overview

Kaidoworld + Basics

Otherworld Basics

I do not know when you unlock otherworld. At first servers will be grouped into clusters of 2 servers for cross-server activities. Eventually these clusters will merge to become 4 servers then 8.

Kaidoworld

Where you can view all the servers and clusters.

Crusade

Ignore, useless for F2P.

Otherworld Invasion

Basics

One of the first cross-server activities you unlock. You invade other servers for points. There is a limit on how long you can invade for each invasion you do. Points can be obtained by attacking cores, killing players, and  killing mobs. Players can kill invaders for rewards. Players are ranked based on serverwide points, individual points (only invasion attempt with greatest points is counted), defensive kills, and invasion kills. The higher ranked you are, the greater the rewards.

There are two types of currency: Merit (purple) and points (white). Merit is earned by completing challenges when invading and ranking rewards. Points are the points you earned during invasion. Destroying a core in an enemy server will bring that core to your server. Each core grants a server an additional 20% serverwide points in ranking (Does not give you a bonus to your currency points).

Strategy

Technically, attacking core is the best way to earn points, but F2P don’t do enough damage for this to be worthwhile. It is better for F2P to farm mob and player kills. You should kill at least 7 players to complete the challenge for merit. The rest of the time should be spent either killing mobs or killing players. If you are farming mobs, pop a demonlure before you invade.

When you kill your third player, you get an additional 3 minutes to invade, but you can’t leave the realm where you killed that third player. Killing a player at least 4 realms below you doesn’t grant any points. Mob farming and player killing cap at 10,000 points per invasion. If you want to go beyond 10,000 points you must attack a core.

Otherworld shop

Merit

Buy the active curio shards corresponding to your realm until you unlock that curio. Afterwards, focus on buying tech guides.

Points

Save them until you unlock otherworld tokens. Buy otherworld tokens.

X-Server Dual

You fight other players in your cluster. The currency obtained in x-server dual is called duel pts. You get 10 duel pts per win. You also get duel pts at the end of each day based on ranking. There is also a weekly reward based on ranking. Try to reach top 100 as F2P; preferably top 50 if possible.

X-Server Duel Shop

  • Purple atk % curio of your main path. 1 copy (Optional-You will be getting more than enough shards from treasure trove).
  • Legendary curio shards. 1 copy per (Optional-You will be getting more than enough shards from treasure trove).
  • Star up stones (Optional-You will eventually have more than you need through other means).
  • Carving Jade (Optional, but probably the best thing to get once you get enough sacred jades).
  • Sacred Jade (Part of SW preparation. Helps you get an assistant that helps automates a few dailies). You need a few of these.
  • Soul jade (When unlocked you should get a few of these as you need them to upgrade castes).
  • Save for SW (Optional-Shop will change once you reach vb).

Apex/De Cul

Apex

Apex unlocks some time after you have 4 servers in your cluster. The winners of sect clash in each server fight each other in a capture the hill type of fight. The fight is 1v1v1v1. There is an apex for each sect realm (winners of outer realm sect clash fight each other, winners of northern realm sect clash fight each other), but higher sect realms have greater rewards.  The map you fight on has 3 tiers of nodes you can capture.

2 T3 nodes in the center, 4 T2 nodes, and 8 T1 nodes. The higher tier the node, the more points you gain for capturing it. Once captured, nodes also gain points passively. Your sect needs a certain amount of points to win. If time limit is reached, sect with greatest number of points wins. Your sect automatically wins if it controls all nodes for 1 minute.

You are ranked based on sect points, individual kills, and individual strategy points (strat points are gained from getting kills and helping to capture nodes). Higher ranking means better rewards. When sect clash finishes, you can guess which sect will win Apex for a reward.

De Cul

Unlocks when you have 8 servers in your cluster. Same style of fight as Apex. Happens 30 minutes after Apex started. The original 4 server cluster has an Apex and the new 4 server cluster has an apex. The top 2 of both Apex fight 1v1v1v1. Bottom 2 of both apex fight 1v1v1v1 for worse rewards.
