The Nintendo Switch version of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is down to just $35 at Amazon (was $50). This is a great chance to pick up an excellent collection of classic Capcom titles on a single cartridge.

If you’re not on Switch, or would prefer playing on a different platform, you can grab the PlayStation version for $40. The Steam version is also available for just $41 at Fanatical. An Xbox version is planned to launch later this year, but is not yet available.

The Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection includes seven classic Capcom fighting games and brawlers:

  • Marvel vs. Capcom
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2
  • Marvel Super Heroes
  • Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
  • The Punisher
  • X-Men: Children of the Atom
  • X-Men vs. Street Fighter

For many of these games, this collection is the first time they’ve been officially available in many years. Each game includes all the content of its original arcade version and is enhanced with a crisper graphical presentation and online matchmaking with roll-back net code. That makes this collection one of the best–and in some cases only–ways to play them on modern consoles.

Capcom’s next big fighting collection, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, is also coming soon. It’s marquee titles include Capcom’s other historic cross-over series, Capcom vs SNK and Capcom vs SNK 2. The new collection launches on Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2025. Preorder copies are available for the physical Switch and PS4 versions, which include a limited-edition Capcom vs SNK comic.

Speaking of SNK fighting games, the company is returning with its next big fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, launching for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 24. Many of the characters in the roster will also appear in the games included in the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2. Digital preorders for the game are available now, with physical preorders planned to launch later.
