The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria – How to Have More Light Without a Torch (Any Armor On)
Do you want more light but also want to use your best armor and a shield? Follow this simple process to get plenty of light for those darkest of nights.
Guide to Get More Light without a Torch
By Caduseus
- Step 1: Start a Sandbox-game.
- Step 2: Repair statues in Elven areas until you get Eregion Armor blueprint. Craft it.
- Step 3: Mine silver in the Deeps to get 10 Onyx gems. Get 100 coins from a troll or orcs.
- Step 4: Put Eregion armor to your inventory, press your Use key on it, select armor, select Unlockable tab and unlock the cosmetic with coins and Onyxes.
- Step 5: Launch any game with any dwarf, press Use key while in your inventory, select your armor, select Eregion armor cosmetic, press Apply and presto: let there be light!
Repeat the above process for Miner’s helmet cosmetic to have even more light.
Additional notes
I am not sure if that’s bug or feature. You kinda need to sacrifice looks for the light, especially with the helmet. The armor looks alright.
It might get patched out eventually, if devs consider the light to be too OP. It is amazingly good, since the armor’s light is really strong, while its description states “Gives off a faint light in the darkness.”
It’s strong light but not as wide a radius as a torch IIRC.
You have to be holding each armour piece that you have intentions of adding to your wardrobe, there is also a bug at the moment where if you unlock the cosmetic variants whilst online they become inaccessible offline. Each armour piece comes with a cost to turn it to a cosmetic item which is a handful of coins and a different gem per piece.
