The Matchless Kungfu – How to Beat The Phantom Temple Guards
Guide to Beating The Phantom Temple Guards

I’ve come up with what seems to be an unbeatable martial art technique. You need “Illusionary Song” in your first slot to get the free first-turn activation from “The True Way.” This renders all of your opponent’s attacks that turn unable to deal damage.
Next, “Acupoint-blocking Hand” is a great emergency button to prevent the enemy from using skills if you fail to stop them with the next skills.
“Star Transfer” steals a skill from your enemy. If they have it ready to fire, you can turn off one charge they built up with this skill and use it yourself later. “Flower Transposition” does the same but for 3 basic moves at a time, reducing the number of moves your enemy gets and later letting you use them, which counts towards your own skill activations. Since the guards all use void moves, this activates all of your skills simultaneously.
You need “Illuminating” or “Moon Embracer” to use the skills and moves you stole; one adds extra damage, the other heals you—your choice. Be careful when using the guards’ skills against them, as you steal them randomly and one of them clears all status effects on your enemy, which can include Acupoint-blocking, so plan accordingly.
Get the internal art “Seven Purple Star” to get a free use of “Flower Transposition” or “Star Transfer” at the start of the fight.
Having no weapons and focusing only on palm, kicks, and punches lets you constantly cycle through these skills and keep the enemy locked down, unable to fight back. The poison gas stacks you get from hitting the guards can be dealt with if you can keep “Hellish Breathing” activating. I managed to survive over 900 stacks of poison gas and beat the guards on my first run.
This method takes a long time to chew through all their health, but it keeps you totally safe and lets you fire off some cool moves you wouldn’t be able to use otherwise.
UPD: Illusory Song in your first slot for the free True Method activation will make all their attacks harmless, Star Transfers and Flower Transfers will steal their void moves and their activated skills for you to use with Illuminating which boosts damage or Moon And Stars which heals you, don’t bring any weapons and set your remaining skills so all your moves will be palms kicks and punches and you can cycle through these skills easily and never let them get any damage off on you while using their own moves against them.
