Too Much Pressure and Expectations; Former Bethesda Devs on Working on TES6

One of Bethesda’s former employees has commented on the development of The Elder Scrolls 6. The developer said, „I wouldn’t want to be in the shoes of those involved in the development of the game”.

Bethesda has been working on The Elder Scrolls 6 for a couple of years now. Of course, we are talking about the next installment of the iconic series, the previous part of which became one of the most popular games of recent years.

Without a doubt, the developers feel the burden of great expectations of players, who demand the delivery of an even better title. Former employees of the studio commented on this subject.

The bar is set high

In an interview with the website TimeExtension, he revealed that there was a lot of pressure on the team at the time. After all, they had to face comparisons to the well-received Oblivion.

According to the second former employee, namely Nate Purkeypile (Senior World Artist on Skyrim) however, these concerns are nothing compared to what Bethesda employees responsible for The Elder Scrolls 6 must be experiencing.

The statements of the two developers give us quite an interesting insight into the whole situation. After all, we are not talking about some common rookies, but veterans who have spent long years in the industry and were involved in many iconic titles.

Nevertheless, they admit that the pressure to release The Elder Scrolls 6 would be very hard on them. So it’s easy to guess how the team currently working on the game must be feeling.
