Interested participants can register this month to develop in one of three different tracks: development, design and content.
Solice, a cross-platform VR metaverse on the Solana network, has announced the Solice 2022 Summer Hackathon.
Registration for the first annual Solice Crypto Hackathon started on August 1st and ends on September 1st. Once this period is over, the registered teams or individuals will be contacted to receive instructions, giving signed participants one month, from September 1st to October 1st, to create and submit their project. After this phase is over, the top 3 winners will be announced on October 7th, with 1st place earning a 1×1 plot of land in the metaverse, 15k $SLC, a Hackathon Discord role, a participation NFT and a 1st place Solice Hackathon 2022 NFT. Both 2nd and 3rd place also get a participation NFT and Discord role, as well as an NFT for their respective place, but the former is awarded with 10k $SLC, while the latter gains 5k $SLC. Those who participate but don’t end up among the top 3 will receive a Hackathon Discord role and Solice Hackathon 2022 participation NFT.
This hackathon includes three different tracks teams and individuals can choose to build in: development, design and content. Only one track can be picked per submission, and each track has certain guidelines participants should follow.
In the development track, participants should develop “something that interacts with the currently released official Solice NFT editions.” Those who choose the design track should pick either the 2D or 3D category to create something in. The former includes memes, banners, posters, Discord emoji/stickers set, while the latter includes models, renderings and visualizations. The content track allows participants to “expand the content of our Metaverse” in various ways, including by writing metaverse lore, in-game quests, music, stories and more.
