Where to find Inferno Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds

0

If you’re looking to forge High Rank armor – specifically the Kut-Ku or Guardian Rathalos set – or powerful weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’re going to need Inferno Sacs sooner or later. These monster organs, which contain an explosive powder, are vital to crafting multiple pieces of armor and weapons.

Given that Inferno Sacs can be used for forging many pieces of gear, they also drop from multiple monsters, so it shouldn’t be long before you have pouches laden with the stuff. To help you out with that, here’s where to find Inferno Sacs in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Where to find Inferno Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds

Inferno Sacs are dropped by multiple High Rank Large Monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds. Some of the creatures you have a chance of getting the item from, and what biomes they reside in, are as follows:

  • High Rank Rathian – Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin
  • High Rank Kut-Ku – Windward Plains, Oilwell Basin, Iceshard Cliffs, Ruins of Wyveria
  • High Rank Gravios – Oilwell Basin, Ruins of Wyveria
  • High Rank Guardian Rathalos – Ruins of Wyveria
  • High Rank Rathalos – Scarlet Forest, Oilwell Basin, Ruins of Wyveria

The Inferno Sac is not a guaranteed drop from any of the above monsters, so you may have to hunt and/or capture a few of these monsters before you end up with the stuff.

With that in mind, it’s worth starting your hunt for Inferno Sacs in Oilwell Basin or Ruins of Wyveria. Both biomes are home to Gravios, Kut-Ku, Rathian, and Rathalos, so there’ll no doubt be at least one or two of these available for you to hunt at any given moment.

Use your World Map to check the environmental overview of each region and see which Large Monsters are available to fight. | Image credit: Capcom/VG247

To check which Large Monsters are available, simply open up your World Map, hover over the biome you plan on visiting, and check the Environment Overview on the right-hand side of your screen (shown in the above image). This will list all Large Monsters that are roaming that biome right now and their strength level.

You can also select your chosen monster to hunt on your map and set a Waypoint to them or begin a Field Survey/Investigation. By doing this, your Seikret will take you straight over to the monster so you can quickly commence your hunt!

After depleting one biome of large monsters, you can go ahead and visit the next! Rinse and repeat this until you have your desired amount of Inferno Sacs.

If you run out of relevant Large Monsters to hunt, you can rest at a nearby Pop-Up Camp using Guild Points to pass time and spawn more monsters. Alternatively, you can check out the ‘SOS Flare Quests’ option in Alma’s Quest Menu, where you can help fellow Hunters out with their hunts. Simply select the monster you want to fight, make sure it’s of High Rank difficulty, and of you go!
