Where to find Iron Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds
Iron Ore can be found in The Plains, and is harvested from Mining Outcrop nodes on the map. You can identify these by the dark blue colour it has. It looks like a pile of rocks with two lines coming from it.
Now, these nodes don’t just drop Iron Ore. They also drop Malachite Ore, as well as Earth Crystals occasionally. However, Iron Ore is one of the common drops, so you should be able to get plenty of iron ore without having to farm too much.
But, If you’re looking to farm some Iron Ore quickly, there are two great places to do it. The first is the Mining Cave Outpost. This is located on the top floor of The Plains, to the West. Alternatively, you can head to zone 3 in The Plains. Here, you can find several Mining Outcrops along the rock walls heading North West.
