Malachite Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds is one of the earliest mining resources you’ll need for some crafting. As you’ll need it early in your journey, where to find Malachite Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds may not be super obvious.
As such, we’ve written this quick guide taking you through where exactly you can find Malachite Ore in the game, as well as some good farm spots in case you need a lot of it. Should be short and sweet, which is good since you probably want to get back to the game as fast as possible right?
Where to find Malachite Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds
Malachite Ore can be found in The Plains and The Forest, and is gathering from Mining Outcrops spread around the zone. You can identify these by their dark blue colour, and they look like a pile of rocks with two lines jutting up from them
Now, these Mining Outcrops don’t just drop Malachite. They can alsop provide Iron Ore as well as Earth Crystals too, though earth crystals are somewhat rare compared to Malachite and Iron. So, chances are, you’ll gather a few other resources as you go out to mine ’em. Don’t worry though, everything you can get is useful!
It’s worth noting that the drop rate of Malachite appears to be higher when harvesting Mining Outcrops in The Forest, rather than The Plains. So if you’ve unlocked that region, your time is best spent there rather in the dusty, sandy Plains.
If you’re looking to farm a bunch of Malachite Ore quickly, head to either the Mining Cave Outpost, which is on the top floor of the map towards the West, or zone 3 for a few more Mining Outcrops. The Mining Cave is probably best, as it’s got three nodes right next to each other, but as it’s not too hard to gather Malachite a quick trip to either should do just fine. If you have unlocked The Forest, there’s a nice cave filled with mining nodes there too!
