It turns out that Vicar McHenry doesn’t keep a very watchful eye on his church or the happenings inside it in Atomfall. First, you walk in and find that there’s been a murder, and then you explore a little further and find that the cellar of the church is long-forgotten about… and locked. Most locked doors in Atomfall lead to some rather interesting discoveries, and this one is no different.
To unlock the cellar, you will need the Church Cellar Key, which is not found in the church, or even in Wyndham Village. Instead, you’ll need to take a trip to the Interchange to get your hands on it. If you need pointing in the right direction, here’s where to find the Church Cellar Key in Atomfall.
Where to find the Church Cellar Key in Atomfall
The Church Cellar Key is found deep inside of the Interchange in Atomfall, which should be raising alarms for you if it isn’t already. How does the key to an abandoned cellar in Wyndham Village wind up down in the Interchange? Well, you’ll soon find out.
First things first, to retrieve the key, you’ll need to have gained access to the Medical wing of the Interchange. This is done by using an Atomic Battery to restore power to Data Store Delta.
Once you do have access to Medical, the Church Cellar Key is just a short walk from its entrance. Upon entering the area, take a right, and then turn right again into a dead-end.
Here, you’ll find the Church Cellar Key alongside a recording – ‘Holder Had a Secret Lab Under the Church’ – you can listen to, which reveals a little information about how the key wound up here.
You can now return to St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village and open up the cellar, where you’ll find a very important character – Dr. Holder – pleasantly surprised to see you. Have fun with him!
