Where to pet cats in Destiny: Rising

0

An early optional quest in Destiny: Rising sees your Guardian undertake a task that moves at a different pace to your usual swashbuckling adventure, but one that’s one less important: petting a cat somewhere in Haven.

Here’s where you can make a new feline friend in the last great human city, as well as what you can give your new chum.

Where to find a cat in Destiny: Rising

While you’re directed to pet a cat anywhere around Haven, the easiest place is probably just past the Garden through the Throne Room, between the Archives and the Bazaar.

To get there:

  • Spawn into the normal Plaza where you usually find yourself when you boot up Destiny: Rising
  • Walk forward through the Throne Room on the other side of the fountain to reach the Garden
  • Take a right and you’ll walk past the Archives where you met Radaghast to learn about the Fallen
  • Then, just past the Archives, you’ll find a little cat mewing on your left

As everyone knows, cats love fish. In Destiny: Rising, you can give cats the spoils of your fishing exploits in exchange for small rewards.

In the very early game where this quest appears, you probably won’t have interacted with Fishing much, and you don’t really need to. You can get a rod and supplies from Pandora the merchant in the Bazaar later, but right now just pet the cat without making an offering and you’ll be able to claim the reward for the optional quest you’re after.
