Where To Preorder Monster Hunter Stories 3

The third entry in Capcom’s turn-based RPG spinoff of the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, launches on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on March 13, 2026. Preorders for the game are now live, including the physical edition on consoles. PC players can also save nearly 20% on preorders for digital versions of the game at Fanatical. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Preorder Bonus

Preordering any version of Monster Hunter 3: Twisted Reflection gets you Skyscale Queen Layered Armor for the playable character Eleanor. The armor is based on the iconic Rathalos set that fans of the mainline Monster Hunter games will recognize. Layered armor is purely cosmetic–it doesn’t confer any stat bonuses or abilities, unlike other gear in the game, but it will at least let you represent one of the series’ flagship creatures regardless of the other gear you’re wearing.

All physical and digital preorders include this bonus.

The standard edition for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection includes the full base game on your platform of choice, plus the Skyscale Queen Layered Armor if you preorder ahead of launch. Physical PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X versions are available at Amazon and GameStop. Digital preorders are also available.

Note that the Switch 2 version is a Game Key-Card release. This means none of the game data is stored on the cart; instead, it acts as a key that lets you download and play the digital version of the game. You’ll need at least 30GB of free space on your Switch 2 to install Monster Hunter Stories 3.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Fanatical Discount (PC)

$57.39 (was $70) | Releases March 13, 2026

As mentioned above, Monster Hunter Stories 3 is also available to preorder digitally on PC and console. PC players can save a few dollars by purchasing their copy at Fanatical, which is discounting all preorders by nearly 20%. You can preorder the digital standard edition–which includes all the same game content a preorder bonus at the physical edition–for just $57.39 (was $70) at Fanatical. Grabbing the game at Fanatical gets you an official Steam key.

Fanatical is also discounting the Deluxe Edition to $73.79 (was $90) and the Premium Deluxe Edition to $82 (was $100). These expanded digital editions include the base game, along with additional content such as layered armor sets, bonus story missions, and more. Check out what each version includes below. Monster Hunter Stories 3 Amiibo

Along with the physical and digital preorders, Hunter Stories 3 is also getting three unique Switch 2 Amiibo figures. The first two are based on the twin Rathalos that the main characters ride on their adventure, and the third is a figure of the party’s Palico companion, Rudy. While Nintendo has shown off all three figures, we don’t yet know when they’re launching or how much each will cost, and none are available for preorder yet. We’ll update this section once more information is announced.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection follows an all-new story and cast of characters, making it a great jumping-on point if you haven’t played the first two games in the series. However, since we’re still a few months out from the game’s launch, now is a great time to check out the earlier entries if you’re curious. The best way to grab them is with the Monster Hunter Stories Collection, which includes Monster Hunter Stories Remastered and Monster Hunter Stories II: Wings of Ruin in one package. Physical Switch copies are available for $39 at Amazon or $45.50 Walmart, while PC players can get the double pack for $49.19 (was $60) at Fanatical. The Switch version of the game is playable on the Switch 2. Monster Hunter Stories Collection is also available digitally on PS4 and Switch.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 is a new RPG set in the world of Monster Hunter. Unlike the mainline series that’s focused on repeatedly hunting the franchise’s massive fauna, the Stories spinoffs are narrative-focused adventures that follow Monster Riders, a culture that lives in cooperation with the Monsters, rather than hunting them. Players capture and raise a roster of monsters, then team up with them in turn-based combat and use their special abilities to aid in exploring the vast overworld and dungeon-like monster dens. Monster Hunter Stories 3 changes up the formula with a new art style and a dual-protagonist focus, with the player’s unnamed hero joining forces with Eleanor, the princess of a rival kingdom, to investigate an omen that could signal an oncoming calamity that threatens both characters’ homelands.
