Where to sell stolen items in Oblivion Remastered
So after a twist of fate set you free from jail in the Imperial City in Oblivion Remastered, you’ve fallen straight back into a life of crime to get ahead, stealing whatever isn’t glued down in search of a few coins.
However, you quickly learn that in Cyrodiil burglary is a union job. Regular merchants will flat out refuse to handle stolen property, whatever disposition you can raise their affinity to with the relationship wheel.
But never fear, here’s where you can actually sell stolen items in Oblivion Remastered.
Where to sell stolen goods in Oblivion Remastered
Once you join the Thieves Guild by completing the initiation in the Imperial Waterfront around midnight every evening, full members gain access to a number of Fences throughout Cyrodiil.
At first, you can only sell stolen goods to Ongar the World-Weary in the northern city of Bruma, but as you advance through the guild you gain access to richer merchants who can shift higher quantities of goods with a larger gold float in their inventory.
Below we’ve embedded an interactive map showing the locations of all 5 Fences in Oblivion Remastered:
If you can’t find Ongar the World-Weary at the start of the game, he’ll be in the pub: Olav’s Tap and Tack. You find it by the south gate of Bruma, down from the statue plaza.
Alternatively, there are technically a few other unique shopkeepers who also accept stolen merchandise. However, they’re all only really available or useful in the mid-to-late game, by which point you’ll have probably joined up with the Gray Fox. These include:
- The Innkeeper at the Inn of Ill Omen – Found south of the Imperial City and east of Skingrad. Since he’s an innkeeper he only has a 50 gold inventory until you have Master rank Mercantile
- Jak Silver – Unlock the Thieves Den at Dunbarrow Cove south of Anvil, then buy the Supplier upgrade from Dahlia
- Khafiz – Unlock the Thieves Den at Dunbarrow Cove south of Anvil, then buy the Fence upgrade from Dahlia
While you’re in Bruma, why not check out the A Brotherhood Betrayed quest, or you could head east towards Frostcrag Spire, one of the player-owned houses in Oblivion Remastered. Or for a headstart with some great items, here’s where to find some of the best weapons in Oblivion Remastered.
