While you might not expect pink mushrooms to be one of the most important items in Arknights Endfield, Pink Bolete is used as an ascension material to promote every single Operator on the roster past level 20.
Therefore you’ll need a healthy supply of Pink Bolete not just for the early game as you level up the Endministrator and other free characters, but more-and-more as you roll for new Operators and high-end 6-Star heroes.
While many resources in Arknights Endfield can be automatically produced, rare promotion materials need to be manually gathered from select locations around Valley IV. You need 3 Pink Bolete to promote a single character, which can add up quickly if your supplies are low.

The Hub Pink Bolete locations
There are 3 locations where you can gather Pink Bolete in The Hub.
The first is to the south of the Old Water Plant, where you can find a maximum of 6 mushrooms. Then the second is to the southeast of the Old Water Plant, where you can find another 6 mushrooms:
Finally, you can get 6 more Pink Bolete in the northeastern Rockhill Passage area:

Next, you can also find 6 Pink Bolete on a raised cliff in the Arsenal area of the Valley Pass:
Originium Science Park Pink Bolete locations
Once you reach the Originium Science Park, there are 2 more places to find Pink Bolete.
The first is in the southwestern corner of the map in The Depression. Then you can also find as many as 8 Pink Bolete at the end of the Cliffside Trial part of the Science Park:
