Within the meta-game of Arknights Endfield, your weapons are almost as important as the people wielding them and to “tune” them past level 20, you will need the rare mineral known as Kalkonyx.
Kalkonyx is a mined crafting ingredient which can be found across Valley IV, but only in limited supply in specific locations.
While you later unlock a process to grow them back aboard your ship, you will need to manually gather a healthy supply of Kalkonyx in the meantime. You need 3 Kalkonyx every time you Tune a level 20 weapon and given the amount of Operators you need to outfit with weapons, similarly to Pink Bolete, this can add up quickly.

The Hub Kalkonyx locations
There are 3 places in The Hub where you can get Kalkonyx. The first is in the southeast of the map, in the bottom corner of the Woodland Fringes area:
Next, you can get 6 more pieces nearby in the bottom of the Hub West area next to the Originium Byproduct Processing Center:
Finally, probably the easiest place to get Kalkonyx is in the Rockhill Passage area to the northeast:
Valley Pass Kalkonyx location
In Valley Pass, there’s just one place to get Kalkonyx, at the end of the mine in the Temporary Shelter:
Originium Science Park Kalkonyx location
There’s only one place to get Kalkonyx in the Originium Science Park too, but it’s easier to find than in the Valley Pass. On the edge of the main research center, you can find a mining node to the north:
