Once again the last grains of beach sand in the great hourglass are trickling through its glass sphincter, denoting that the start of Summer Games Fest 2026 is almost upon us.* At precisely 10pm BST / 5pm EDT, Geoff Keighley will storm the stage in LA and begin showering the assembled with game trailer after game trailer.
As is our tradition, we’ll be pulling together a quick rundown of everything announced at Summer Game Fest 2026 so you can go to bed early and/or avoid watching hour upon hour of game announcements. We’ll only be focusing on games announced for PC, so don’t expect any news on God of War or Wolverine, because Sony are being selfish.
If you’re planning on staying up for the show, do pull up a stool at James’s Summer Game Fest 2026 livestream. There will be a bunch of grizzled commenters yacking it up about what’s on stage, and James has the sorry job of trying to follow the puns on ‘Geoff Keighley’ that Edwin’s been dropping all day.
This page will be updated throughout the show, but it’s the live blog where the most fun will be had until tomorrow morning. Elsewhere on the site, Edwin will be writing fuller stories on the games that jump out to us the most. Links to all of those will be provided below.
What’s that? Summer Game Fest hasn’t started yet? You could have fooled me, what with all the…
Confirmed games at Summer Game Fest 2026
Star Wars: Zero Company gameplay footage
Now, if I weren’t covering the show for obligatory work reasons, I would likely be happy just seeing more of Star Wars: Zero Company. The XCOM-alike made by many of the team at Firaxis who rebooted XCOM is a pint-sized cup of my tea. EA and Respawn have confirmed there will be gameplay footage shown as part of the show and I am excited.
A proper trailer for Clutch
Earlier this week, the former Forza Horizon devs who went and formed Maverick Games announced Clutch, a new open world racer. We’re going to see its first proper trailer tonight.
Something to do with Among Us
Developers Innersloth have tweeded they’ve something up their sleeves for their social stealth murder ’em up to reveal at the show. Knowing them, the announcement is probably already out there in the wild, wearing the skin of another piece of news.
However, while confirmed game news is all well and good, there’s also the more salacious bits of off cut. You know, the bits of news we can’t put on the front page because it doesn’t yet pass the sniff test, the…
Rumoured games at Summer Games Fest 2026
Naturally, this is murkier water, but we’re seeing growing signs that ArenaNet might be ready to announce Guild Wars 3. This would be pretty huge, as we only just went and reconfirmed Guild Wars 2’s place on our list of the Best MMOs on PC. I’ll have to go and get Ed to update the list all over again.
Last week CD Projekt Red announced they’re working on an expansion for The Witcher 3, Songs of the Past. We’ve only had a bit of key art so far, but the team have shown off their games at Geoff’s shows in the past, so there’s a chance that we’ll catch our first glimpse of Geralt’s last ride at the show tonight.
There’s also been growing whispers of a Persona 6 announcement, but already muddy waters have been soiled further by AI generated screenshots. It could then all be bluster.
Is there any reason to believe there will be a Crimson Skies remake at the Summer Game Fest? No. There are literally zero whispers of this out there, but if I can wish something into existence, then, by golly, I will try.
Oh, and obligatory, Half-Life 3 cover-my-own-bum time. Valve have confirmed the Steam Machine and Steam Frame are on track to release this summer. Would they conceivably launch this hardware without a new Gordon Freeman adventure? Yes. Yes, they would likely be fine with that.
*It has been suggested to me that ‘waist’ would be a more appropriate way of referring to an hourglass’s sphincter. I will split the difference and call it an ‘orifice’.
