Crimson Desert Fast Travel: Abyss Nexus and Cresset Locations
To help you fast travel around Crimson Desert, here’s where to find all of the Abyss Nexus and Abyss Cresset locations throughout the world.
The continent of Pywel in Crimson Desert is huge. It’s genuinely one of the biggest and most sprawling game worlds ever created, teeming with towns, cities and hidden secrets and puzzles hidden beneath the surface.
One of the more frustrating elements of Crimson Desert is the emphasis on traveling on foot or horseback between the same locations, particularly in the early game, but that can be all but solved by making an effort to unlock a few fast travel points straight away. The Abyss Nexus just to the north of Hernand is an absolute must-unlock, while the “A Hill Guided by Light” to the east is great for early quests.
The Abyss Nexus next to your Greymane camp on the edge of the Unicorn Cliff is also very easy to miss, and you will need to travel back there constantly.
How to fast travel in Crimson Desert
There are two ways to fast travel in Crimson Desert. You need to find and activate either:
- Abyss Nexuses: Conduits of Void power manifest as runed reliefs on the ground
- Abyss Cressets: Small totems containing an Abyss Artifact which is guarded by an environmental hazard or puzzle
To activate an Abyss Nexus, all you need to do is stand on top of it. Then you will be able to see it marked on your map and be able to fast-travel there at any time. Because of their ease of activation, it’s always worth making a bee-line to an Abyss Nexus whenever you know there’s one nearby.
Abyss Cressets on the other hand are a little trickier. While you can also fast travel to them, you will have to navigate either an environmental hazard or puzzle to claim an Abyss Artifact and a fast travel point.
This can range from a field of deadly blue flowers to a sprawling puzzle which sends you to the edges of the continent and back. Seriously, some of the puzzles in Crimson Desert are hilariously difficult, tucked away in poorly lit areas where they ask you to read in-game maps like a real-life cartographer. We’ll be making additional pages for the most difficult among them!
