Heartopia Cooking recipes: How to obtain every recipe and variant

0

Cooking is one of the seven hobbies you can pursue in Heartopia, the upcoming free-to-play life sim that’s currently available in closed beta ahead of its planned full release in 2026. All hobbies have their own attached collections encouraging you to catch ’em all, so to speak, by pursuing relevant activities; for Cooking, unsurprisingly, this involves learning and preparing recipes to reveal every entry in the collection and master the skill.

Heartopia’s collections catalogues are typically very thorough, but for Cooking recipes, there are a few limitations. Namely, until you’ve actually crafted every variant of each recipe, it’s a little unclear what is a variant as opposed to something new you need to unlock separately, as well as which ingredients you need to make everything.

Read on below for our work-in-progress Heartopia Cooking recipes list to help you uncover the entire collection.

Heartopia Cooking recipe list

There are 73 total cooking recipes in Heartopia’s closed beta test. Below is a work-in-progress list of everything we’ve seen so far (56 and counting!), including – where available – details of ingredients, unlock conditions, and all the variants that we’ve found. We’ll keep updating this list as we go, too!

    How to cook in Heartopia

To prepare a learned recipe in Heartopia, interact with a stove object and insert the required ingredients into the slots in the recipe when prompted to begin preparation.

There’s a stove outside of Massimo’s restaurant in the town centre that you can use, and he’ll also gift you one for your home (as well as the blueprint to craft more if you choose) when you unlock the Cooking hobby.

You’ll note that a pair of arrows will appear in the relevant ingredient slot to flag to you that your current selection can be switched out for something else (including the same ingredient type at a different quality). This is where you can substitute different ingredients if a recipe has variants.

During cooking, you’ll encounter QTEs, indicated by the circular cooking icon gaining a green outline that ticks down timer-style. You simply need to click or tap the icon once before the timer runs out to avoid overheating the meal and losing quality that might negatively impact your star rating. (Interestingly, you can even burn salad in Heartopia.)

These QTEs are very forgiving in terms of timing, although you might notice that as your Cooking hobby level increases and you unlock more complex recipes, you’ll have to deal with more QTEs per recipe – Level 1 recipes only have one QTE during preparation, but after upgrading your hobby level you’ll quickly find yourself having to handle two or three near-miss kitchen disasters over the course of meal prep!
